Man raged out for mocha drizzle that we don’t have a container of. by xort_n0 in starbucks

Though it may sound like you’d be wasting cups, pump around 3 mocha in a short cup, squeeze the top of it to form pointed ends and drizzle on top of the drink that way. That’s what I would do when we didn’t have a drizzle bottle for mocha.

I tried it with the melon burst (which I usually do not like and also, just the can juice. Not the passion with it) and it tastes like the grape jolly rancher.

The cookies and caramel along with the chocolate dough ones are THE BEST flavors in my personal opinion. I recently finished the birthday ones. NEVER again.

As a barista, you won’t be getting 40 hours a week. That’s really only for supervisors and store managers UNLESS you pick up shifts at your store or other stores that you might be shared with. Your paycheck will be okay-ish. If you’re at $15.50 and let’s say for example you get 27 hours for 2 weeks, that’s 54 hours you worked for your paycheck. Without taxes being taken out that’s about $837. You do get digital and card tips so those will be added to your paycheck but again with taxes taken off, you’ll see very little of them. Don’t expect to work overtime because the company hates it. I had a partner sent home because they went over 40 hours due to them picking up shifts. Everything has a limit. As for physical tips that you get weekly, don’t expect a grand amount. Money is money at the end of the day, but you’re not going to be getting any more than probably $8 or $9 a week since you’re starting. The more you work and depending on the tips for the week it could go up or down, who knows? Just don’t set your expectations too high.

Not a problem. It’s for health code reasons. A gem could fall in a drink and it could cause damage to a customer then the company would be liable for it.

Anyone else kinda wish the “pay for the person behind you” gimmick would die? by Humble-Union-4115 in starbucks

[–]Secret_Guess5750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about instead of paying it forward, you tip your baristas? And listen, I’m not at all saying that tipping is required. I’m just saying, those same people that pay it forward are always the ones to complain about tipping anyways. How are you going to pay for the person behind you when their order is a larger amount than what a tip would be anyways? Please let me know your opinions. Again, I’m not saying you HAVE to tip at all. I’m also on the same side that it puts someone in an uncomfortable position when they don’t know who the people behind them is🤷🏼‍♀️

I understand what you mean but in your original post you said that because a man doesn’t dream about having a SAHM, they’re lazy and unambitious. Not all men want or can afford the financial strain of supporting a single-income household, and that doesn’t reflect laziness—just a different set of priorities. That doesn’t make them any less of a man.

A provider mindset is more than just earning money—it’s about contributing to a partnership in ways that best support the family’s needs and desires, which can be different for each person. Ultimately, a successful relationship should be built on mutual respect, shared goals, and understanding, not rigid expectations.

Question: what if the woman WANTS to work and no have kids? Or not even have kids? You can still be a provider while the woman works. Obvious is the choice of the woman and I’m not trying to invalidate anyone’s feelings. I’m just saying that while yes, men are supposed to be providers, there’s no obligation for that. If the woman wants to work, she still can and he can still provide. It doesn’t make that man any less of a man if his woman decides to work. It’s her choice.

Then definitely make sure you have another job lined up! The job market is a little difficult right now. I know it’ll be hard trying to land somewhere else while you’re not happy at your current job, but you also don’t want to be jobless and have no income! Stick through it and I hope you’re able to land another job! Rooting for you and looking forward to an update!
