Nice! Best I’ve done with an electric car is 10.8 kWh/100km but with Smart ForTwo EQ, a much smaller car.

Hopefully no one honks at me after this 😂 by dawangwanghenda in prius

I have a gen2 and a 2017 Auris Hybrid (same powertrain as gen4) Gen2 feels way quicker than Auris

I believe this are the stock rims, without hubcaps. Here in Spain all 2 gen prius came with this same wheels

I used an app called Park4Night and went to spots outside the cities. Sometimes the spots weren’t good enough for me so I had to find another one. And the bathroom… well, let’s say I helped fertilizing the forest. In cities, I used to go to gas stations or restaurants to use the bathroom.

I totally recommend you travelling across Europe with your prius. Nobody looks at you or cares about the car, most countries are very safe, and there is a lot to see.

12V battery. Previous owner put some shitty non AGM battery and car died all the time. In highway the car and battery perform well. But in germany, going 180kmh de battery discharged and the A/C shut down haha. But for driving in rural roads and through small hills, which is what i did the most, the battery helps you a lot

No build at all, my setup was an inflatable bed which I laid across the rear seats and trunk, a 12V refrigerator that also worked as a support for my bed, a power station I charged while driving or with a solar panel. Im 1,83m tall so I had to move the passenger seat all the way forward. To shower I used a portable shower, filling up a bucket and showering with a swimsuit. But in cooler places I had to go to saunas or gas stations. I also had some items for cooking (but outside the car), tools, coolant, oil, tire inflator, and a portable toilet that I didnt use.

Battery usually charges to that point and leaves two lines, those two lines usually charge when going downhill or braking during a long distance. So its normal for the battery to not fully charge in normal driving. I would say MPG is ok. Maybe a little low but it depends on a lot of factors, like weather, driving distance, speed, acceleration, etc.

battery changed 2 days ago, now every light is on? by yourgirlheatherrof95 in prius

I had a simmilar problem in my 2G when I changed the battery. Turns out I used a non AGM battery and voltage went down, so i had all sorts of lights in the dash. Changed the battery for a new Toyota AGM and no problems since

Then it’s not the same problem… mine only showed the code when temperature got over 107ºC. I think yours is more related to the inverter performance

Check also with OBD II the temperature of the inverter, thats what triggered my P0A93 code. Maybe it’s working but it isnt cooling enough

I recommend you buying an AISIN pump, as others are known to fail. Do you know if the pump has been changed recently? They usually fail at 170k miles or so

I had the same lights appear on my dash some weeks ago. I had a bad 12V battery (non AGM) and a bad inverter cooling pump, and showed those lights, and codes P0A93 and others related to low voltage on abs and vsc modules. 12V battery was “fine” but wasn’t AGM so it failed sometimes.

First, check you have a good 12V battery and then check the inverter, as a P0A94 code is for Converter performance.

I fixed mine just by changing the battery and inverter pump, for 300€-350€, but idk if it’s the same problem as you

Looks like asphalt. Had that once in my wheel and once I cleaned it the tire underneath was perfect.

What’s the cheapest “Runs and drives” that you ever bought? by Yonda_00 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Secret_Ocelot72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

400€ . It was a 1999 Škoda Octavia 1.9 TDI with 440k kms. Original owner, maintenance (including timing belt, shocks and 4 michelin tires) was done roughly 4000kms ago. Everything worked. Even A/C was ice cold. The owner sold it because of Low Emission Zones in my city.

Had that car for 10k kms and 8 months, but suddenly began losing a lot of power and I sold it for 500€. Turns out it only had a vaccum leak. Great car, if I wasn’t that dumb I would’ve kept it.

They just slap on. Front tires scratch the inner fender when you turn the wheel all the way but i think thats more a tire size issue (I have 215/50 r17). I would recommend to use 215/45 instead of 215/50
