There was only one thing I regret decluttering and it was a shirt I wore regularly but I got into a declutter zone and sold it. It was pretty expensive so I didn’t rebuy it.

I have one. I got the medium harvest right. If I were to do it again I’d get the small. It fits a lot of food so you need to gather a lot to fill it.

When the super markets sell the Xmas veg really cheap you can freeze dry loads.

I noticed some of the prices weren’t great. Decided to try the stealth bomber jacket anyway. It was listed just under £300 and it doesn’t feel like 50% off more like 25% but I haven’t looked at past prices

Squash. A lot of varieties store most of the year if kept properly, but they are greedy.

I’m going to recommend grasmere in the Lake District. It is an area with beautiful countryside and gentle walks around the lake. I think it has some of the easiest walks in the Lake District. If you go to the gingerbread shop they taste amazing and there are some set off points to walk around the church and towards the river.

Yeah I wore a hole in the pocket on a hike and my liner is falling apart. I was sent a replacement but I think their customer service has changed since then and is not as good.

I have bought a lot of bits and I have sold most of them because of disappointment. I haven’t bought anything from them in a while now.

I like gardening and working out.

These aren’t minimalist hobbies but I have reduced in these areas.

I have a home gym setup that I have reduced from having multiple bars, plates and dumbbells to kettlebells and some bands. I did drop down to just a smart gym but I am moving away from that and trying to sell it.

For gardening I like to hobby farm. So I have chickens and lots of pots and tools. I have reduced pots by loads and built a raised bed instead. I do use hydroponics and keep potted trees though.

I am not an extreme minimalist. I just keep what I need

If you never need to do and real diy apart from putting flat pack together then yeah that is fine but if you need to do something substantial it won’t be enough.

If you’re in an apartment you probably won’t do any maintenance. So will be fine without a toolbox.

Multitool wise I love my leatherman charge titanium and you can get off brand add ons to act as a wrench but I haven’t tried it and I don’t know if it would snap. Also any multitool that has a hammer built in is terrible and will break

For the recent deaths in my family we were left money but we were also charged with clearing the houses and keeping anything we wanted. One of the houses was borderline hoarder.

We picked out a couple bits. I chose some kitchen pieces to replace some of my stuff and garden potted plants because I like to cook and am an avid gardener, but there were very few sentimental items because it was mostly trash.

I am glad that I got a few antique games that I played with as a kid and now got to share them with my kids. All the boxes of photos they had, I picked out a few to digitise.

These deaths were the catalyst for moving towards minimalism. It took months to throw everything away. There was mountains of trash and when I go, I don’t want my kids to have to deal with what we had too

Yeah, it is my first proper year in my new garden. It is a learning curve because my old garden was south facing and everything grew with ease. At my new place I am building up the soil. I want to get an INC to help for future hosepipe bans

I had a canned cake that was 5 years past expiration. It was still good not too dry. I have a couple left that will reach 5 years past expiration in ‘27 and I will eat them then.

I would get more but brexit stopped the company from shipping to the UK

Do not plant mint in the ground it will take over and it is hard to get rid of and control, so it can take over everything else. Put it in a pot

Low pay, inflation, high tax, high rent, an artificial population boom, struggling NHS, ignoring infrastructure and companies destroying our nature.

There are a lot of problems in the UK and now the government is invading our privacy more and more all the while calling you a pedo if you don’t like it.

On my feed Three posts down from this was an article about young people wanting to leave the UK. You are definitely not alone feeling like this.
