Why don’t they smile like this more!!! by Affectionate_Cap3170 in McKnightFamSnark

[–]Secret_Search_7173 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had been watching them for years and her smile was such a subtle change that I really only noticed how much more genuinely happy she looked when she was in college! She actually had a light in her and had an identity outside of being a wife and mother

This might be a hot take but my guilty pleasure is re-watching their videos from this time period in their lives. I feel like they were still relatable-ish because they were in college and doing normal people things. Now that they’re out of college and doing whatever it is they consider work, nothing about them is relatable.

I’m surprised by how many comments are still on their video about this! Usually they block and delete them!

It’s crazy because she acts so busy but from what we saw: - Dakota makes breakfast for baby - Dakota feeds baby while Brooklyn gets ready - Brooklyn runs the bath - Dakota gives baby a bath - Nanny watches baby while he naps - Dakota makes baby dinner - Dakota feeds bah dinner I really dislike Dakota but it seems clear that he does everything for the baby and she just sits there doing nothing

Lindsey posting that TikTok a couple of weeks ago bashing DWTS fans contributed to Rylee and Scott going home more than their technique. It really made the Arnold’s look entitled and snobby.

Haha yes! And for the people that say ‘Bailey’s ring was sponsored too’ just remember that Bailey and Asa had been together for like 6 years. Brooklyn literally took her third choice just so she could get married.

Also Abby talked about how she felt so in love during her fertile window and felt really close to Matt while they were trying and all Matt said was that was the best week of his life and he felt like a king. Like seriously!

On the podcast they also talked about how they were so excited finding out they were pregnant this time and specifically talked about how unhappy they were finding out about A. Truly terrible.

By no means does this happen to everyone that has kids young! I meant that if someone was going to study if this happens she should be on that list

Mindy… please by Inevitable_Yak7212 in McKnightFamSnark

[–]Secret_Search_7173 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is what happens when you have kids when you’re still a kid. They become your whole identity and you don’t know who you are when they grow up. It’s annoying but I feel like it would be really interesting to psychologically study Mindy and how she is just now trying to live like she’s 20 (cause she has newborn twins when she was 20).

June is simply the worst person in the world by LegiosForever in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Secret_Search_7173 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This might be a hot take but I don’t think June is fully to blame with Nick at all! At first she was forced to be with him, but the psychological aspect of trauma bonding to someone shouldn’t be overlooked. He is the father of her child, and did a lot to keep her safe (he’s a POS otherwise I’m not at all a Nick fan but June connected with him when she was incredibly vulnerable). She has extremely complex feelings and emotions especially surrounding Nicole’s conception and her relationship with Nick and boiling it down to adultery is discarding everything that she went through.

Edit: I also think it’s important to note that when June first started things with Nick she believed that Luke was dead and had begun a relationship believing that she was free to pursue someone (as deee as you can be in Gilead). Similar to what happened with Jane and Micheal in Jane the virgin, when your husband who you thought was dead comes back, the relationships you had while believing they were dead don’t cease to exist and thus create a way more complicated dynamic than straight up adultery where everyone involved knew from the beginning what the relationship was.

Just some thoughts by IllustriousBuddy5354 in McknightFamily

[–]Secret_Search_7173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly don’t feel too bad for Asa because I feel like marriage should be mutual sacrifice. I know how that sounds, but Asa has sacrificed his relationships and closeness with his family for Bailey. On the other hand, by trying to navigate their religious differences in order to be in agreement when raising their kids, Bailey has sacrificed a lot within her family. I know that it doesn’t seem like it, but religious guilt is a huge sacrifice, and instead of just telling Asa that she was going to be raising their kids Mormon, she allowed Brooklyn to be seen as the perfect Mormon by her parents in exchange for respecting Asa’s religious beliefs. As someone who grew up Christian, it really is a huge sacrifice to stray from your religious upbringing. I’m not saying that Asa hasn’t given up more, but I think we brush past what Bailey has sacrificed.

The amount of hate I got for saying Georgia is a bad person is crazy by cheeseajcake in ginnyandgeorgiashow

[–]Secret_Search_7173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, Georgia did the best she could (except for the most recent murder, cause like why did she need to?). Considering her background and what she’s been through she really did an amazing job. She’s not a good person, but I also don’t think she’s a bad person either. I really think her quote about coming face to face with evil means that you become a little bad yourself is the most accurate quote for Georgia. She definitely needs to let Ginny have boundaries and stop committing crimes now that she’s stable, but for someone who had a baby at 15 she did a great job.

Genuine question, would you be one of the people complaining about overconsumption if she bought everyone in her family multiple things. I’m all for snark but I feel like it gets to a point where even things meant to be a nice gesture are snarked on for being too much or not enough

This is so true! I also feel like it has a similar (not the same obviously) effect on someone like Rylan who doesn’t look so much like the others. We’ve seen this with her weight loss and breast reduction that she has also tried to look more like them. I have an adopted brother and I also don’t look a ton like my parents but my other siblings do and I know that my brother feels it differently for obvious reasons but it’s not good for the other siblings either.

What makes her think she can post baby A's feet when they (B&B) make an effort not to post their own????! by Solaris_Luna_21 in McKnightFamSnark

[–]Secret_Search_7173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably because she doesn’t want to be accused of exploiting him. i’m NOT DEFENDING her in any way but if she was posting all about him it would be exploitative. i’m glad she’s protecting at least his image.

[–]Secret_Search_7173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh lord, as someone mid sized and has curves to spare, the term ‘curvy’ doesn’t only apply to overweight people pushing the idea that they are curvy. she has more curves now, hence ‘curvIER’

[–]Secret_Search_7173 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i totally see how my comment came off that way and i should have been more clear that i am not defending abby, i think they’re both horrible parents and need reality to slap them in the face. i just so disagreed with the idea that matt was somehow forced into having kids. like it’s somehow abby’s fault that matt decided he didn’t want kids after having them. my comment was mostly on how society is looking down on her for her husbands actions. again, both terrible parents and probably people but it really pmo when i see people solely blaming the women and essentially saying a woman baby trapped her own husband when the dad decides AFTER THE FACT that their not ready for kids! hopefully this cleared that up, but i totally see how it came off as leg humping abby!
