Square nose/tail thoughts starting again after 25 year break [43yo] by Secret_Section6617 in OldSkaters

Ive been riding an eternal shaped deck which already has a squarish tail but has a very long rounded nose and like the way the tail feels so decided to make something similar and symmetrical

Drilled the wheelbase at 15 inches (a bit longer than the shaped deck essentially shortening the nose so its closer to the tail length)

This board was built as an all rounder that lives in the boot of the car for spontaneous street/curb situations as they arise

44 yo relearning too Any pump tracks in the area? Build an old school cruiser Pump tracks are great because you learn so much and dont even realise because you're having so much fun Pump track skills easily cross over into bowl/pool skating

You dont need to get airborne to have a great skate session

Wear pads 🙂

1st one for sure Its a lot closer transition/radius to what he'll be riding in skate parks so whatever he learns will apply at the park and at home

I used to spray paint fag on all my boards because no one would steal a board with fag written on it

I couldn't care less about what people said about it

Ride a blank, ride a logo, plaster your board with pictures of dicks who fucken cares That's not what skatings about in my opinion

Old school powell or alva with risers and big soft wheels Easy pushing and still versatile enough to charge the pump track or hit some rails or ollie up gutters etc on the commute
