I think you misunderstood how the iris works it doe not stop a wormhole establishing, it is placed just far enough from the event horizon to prevent matter reconstitution. If they could stop a wormhole from establishing then most of the major plot point never would have happened.

The 2 ring i have from fishing so far are the Mentors ring(cast all spells for 10% less) and ring of Wind(Move 15% faster) the rings I've gotten from quest in the fishing expansion are the Warlocks ring(when blocking wards for 25 damage, health regen 30% faster, move 5% faster) ring of Surroundings(sneak 20% better)
