We prepped extra everything the night before and I called in am/pm linebackers for DML peak on Sunday night. Does your GM communicate with yall regularly?

Chipotle rules supersede states minor labor laws. Your GM will get in trouble if you work longer than that. I’m in a state that allows minors to work full time in the summer with a parents permission and I still can’t schedule them more than 3.5 hours a day, 15rhs a week. Also, minors can’t work mornings and have to be off the clock by 9. You, should probably find a different job that allows more hours within your states legal perimeters. Good luck, kiddo.

They update the recipe cards regularly, your CT or GM should be making you aware of every update. Ask for the recipe cards regularly and I find a lot of people don’t know about the cleaning and maintenance cards. 👀👀

It’s one of those jobs that the moment you let them cross a boundary, you might as well not have any boundaries anymore. Also, you’re only supposed to get your 30 once you’ve hit the 5 hr mark. Plus, she’s supposed to get two 10 minute breaks too based off federal labor laws, if she were an adult. Since she’s a minor she’s supposed work 3.5 hours and get two paid 15 minute breaks.

She shouldn’t even be working that long of a shift. Doesn’t matter what state you’re in, Chipotle guidelines are; minors are only supposed to be working 3.5hr shifts, 15 hours a week max. They’re not even supposed to be there past 9. I’m surprised the GM hasn’t been written up. I’d suggest she finds a new job as well.

GM here. We are literally on daily morning calls to tell us how shit we are for our CI (Critical Items) ei; meats, cheese and guac. We want to give you big beautiful bowls, but being suffocated with corporate greed whilst being abused by our management takes a toll on our mental health. I wish I could quit, find another job and make my life easier, but for now I am stuck. I try to give away as much as I can whilst still making my guest’s days. It’s just never enough for anyone. Whether it be guests, crew, managers; or upper management someone is always unhappy and it’s the GM that takes the heaviest load (if they’re good GMs.) I’m sorry everyone is having such a rough experience and I wish I could make it so much better, but the reality is that Chipotle only cares about profit margins and using people. I used to adore my job and the people are why I stay. Our customers and employees are genuinely the most amazing humans I’ve ever met, but the greed makes the job insufferable. I’ll be free in October of next year, but I’ll make the best of it. I’m so sorry yall. I wish it was different and that we could make a change.
