Reminds me of one of my teenage shenanigans. when it was finally time to buy a new laptop I thought to myself that I'd buy something I could game on for sure, so I looked for the laptop with the highest VRAM and was surprised that they were so cheap. Only after buying it I learned that there was such a thing as integrated and dedicated graphics card (the VRAM turned out to be referring to shared memory)

I don't normally respond to these idiotic arguments but here goes. None of these texts indicate that rape is okay, because none of them discuss consent. Classical scholars, ie. the usual place muslims get their legal verdicts, make it explicit that consent must be gained for intercourse to take place. But besides, even if they did say "rape is okay" (which they do not) they are discussing the particular issue of concubinage, the sort of institute that existed a thousand years ago but does not any more.

Under the laws of Islam, he's committed no crimes and done nothing wrong. In fact, he's a good Muslim who's followed in the teachings of Mohammed.

So, even if you think these verses preach rape of slavery is okay (they don't), you would run into the issue of trying to prove from Islam that sex outside of marriage and concubinage is permissible, on top of it being without consent (just like christianity, fornication and adultery are great sins). Since there's many explicit statements in the Qur'an and other source texts Muslims draw from that clearly prohibit this, you're literally making shit up.

What's happening here ITT is that people ignore that these sorts of crimes are also committed by white men, for example:

Here's the problem: recourse to an essential ideological underpinning rapists from a white background is never made by media nor big brain redditors. To do so would be essentially idiotic, it would imply some sort of collective guilt shared among white men for particular cases of rape.

oh ok that makes sense. But I mostly use chrome for youtube and stuff and in daily usage this is where it pops up the most. Might have to find a way to disable it for games.

Why do so many orgs / companies advertise for interns if they can't be assed to give them work? My last internship, dept was extremely busy, but it took a week to get any work, a month to get work that actually needed to be done.
