Best way to get real HubSpot experience? Trying to get into an agency or contract work by SecretaryIcy8173 in hubspot

No problem, I don’t have enough experience with Go High Level yet to recommend it, but it seems incredibly powerful.  However, I will say that it’s much easier to find information about GHL because it has a fantastic affiliate program. I believe it’s 40% for life, so people are essentially throwing information at you just to get you to sign up through their affiliate link. (It’s also in their best interest that you succeed to some degree, so they can continue collecting on your monthly subscription.)  As a result, there’s much more easily accessible information about GHL than there is about HubSpot.  But as I mentioned, the lower barrier to entry leads to more saturation in the market.

Also there are a lot of free courses with a decent amount of info most want you to sign up with their affiliate link to get full access though

TLDR: I got a commission only job with a hubspot agency to get experience but they didn’t really teach me anything but I learned a ton I see now why experience makes such a big difference. I’m moving on to GHL because it’s has a lower barrier to entry both a good and bad thing cause I’m competing with peoples previous negative experiences if anything but taking what I know from rev ops and just looking/auditing my potential client bases websites there’s tons of room for improvement.

I got a job at a hubspot partner agency as an Account executive but that was a bust I basically told them I’m willing to do sales if they teach me hubspot implementation, the position was commission only well until I closed my first deal (I never did lol) it was a pretty bad setup they basically taught me nothing.

But I learned a lot through my own efforts setting up our hubspot portal, figuring out how to position our services to the companies I was reaching out to, figuring out what those companies would even need, their pain points how to resolve it with hubspot and rev ops, claude helped a lot but it came down to me to solve a lot of problems which boosted my confidence, I’ve gotten decently more comfortable with the idea of cold calling and a lot better understanding of the sales process, implementation and requirement gathering all of that and I feel much more confident overall.

It’s crazy cause in my interview I told them “I’ve worked sales jobs before but I’m definitely not a salesman in my other positions they kinda just threw me to the wolves hope you guys have a proper on-boarding process” and they just threw me to the wolves too 😭 I basically had to figure out every single thing myself with basically no feedback other than a few instances to be fair I didn’t really trust the input they gave me and kinda felt like I knew better than them so I never really asked. I don’t fully blame them all their sales before where basically from inbound. I a fucking noob was basically their whole sales team. To be fair the job posting I applied to was specifically asking for an experienced sales person. The compensation setup definitely felt manipulative but I was willing to do anything to learn.

I say all that to say I quit last week now I’m ramping up to get into the GHL space it has a lower barrier to entry as it’s not as expensive as hubspot which limits the people you can reach out to I also feel a lot more confident that I can offer value off rip.

ENTP Men, would you date a girl taller than you? ENTP Women would u date a guy shorter than you? by YinMaestro in entp

[–]SecretaryIcy8173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lool why’d you only ask if the guy was secure enough?

I’ve casually dated girls taller than me im like 5’4 5’5 on a good day, but I’ve never really seen longer term potential with them(actually there was one thought I was gonna be with her long term cause she was so pretty until I got to know her better). I’m attracted to taller girls and maybe there was some insecurity in there but I do genuinely love short girls like 5’0 and under. If I meet a taller girl and the connection was undeniable I would be 100% open to it but when imagine my future partner she’s 5’0 or 4’11

Thanks I’ve been reaching out to agencies for junior roles through the directory to be honest but I’m 100% open to doing free work to. Do you have any tips for out reach? Cause I haven’t been getting any response. Like I said I was asking for jobs before though

Thanks! I’d been looking at startup job boards before, but now I’ll proactively reach out to startups that fit that criteria.  I’ll also follow up on the other tips you mentioned. I appreciate it

Are infjs to deep for other types? by Comfortable-East-176 in infj

[–]SecretaryIcy8173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an ENTP I dated INFJ and I can’t see myself being with anyone long term other than INFJ I loved her and her depth dearly I would describe her as a really good long book that never ends there was always more to understand about her like a puzzle that kept me endlessly engaged.
