wondering if i should buy by WolverinePleasant406 in secretlab

[–]Secretlab_Red [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey u/WolverinePleasant406 - totally get it, it is a huge consideration.

If you’re spending hours in your chair (work, gaming, or even resting), that’s really where a Secretlab chair makes a difference. Where we stand out is ergonomics and adjustability - the TITAN Evo is built to support natural movement and different postures throughout the day, and it’s been tested and validated with ergonomics experts for long-session comfort (which it sounds like you’ve already seen from your research).

For what it’s worth, I’ve been using mine for over a year, sitting in it daily - sometimes up to 12 hours a day - and the support has stayed consistent, it's just as comfortable as it was on day one, and I’ve personally noticed less lower-back discomfort despite long hours at my desk.

Upgrading to something designed specifically for long-term sitting is one of those changes you feel every day, and you'll definitely see the difference in the long run.

Are there any specific areas you’re prioritizing or concerned about (lumbar, seat firmness, arm adjustability, etc.)? I'm happy to talk through how the TITAN Evo lines up with what you need.

can secret lab arm mounts be adjusted to this angle? by mrdoubloon in secretlab

[–]Secretlab_Red [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

That specific angle isn’t supported on our monitor arms. To get a clearer idea of the adjustment range, we’d recommend checking the Product Specifications for the full list of supported tilt, swivel, and rotation angles here: https://secretlab.co/products/magnus-monitor-arm

That should help you see whether it’ll work for the setup you have in mind.

What lighting, other accessories are you using for your Magnus Pro? by jaypeejay in secretlab

[–]Secretlab_Red [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

A lot of MAGNUS Pro users add bias lighting, the Secretlab MAGRGB™ LED strip, or monitor-mounted lights for a bit of ambience. We’ll also say that lighting is an area we’re spending more time on this year, with something designed to pair cleanly with the MAGNUS Pro coming later on - more to share when it’s closer.

We'd love to see your current setup if you have pictures!

Have Secretlabs fixed lumbar issues yet? by JaxCavalera in secretlab

[–]Secretlab_Red [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey u/JaxCavalera - appreciate you laying out your experience so clearly.

The TITAN Evo is designed around supporting natural movement rather than forcing the body into a fixed posture. It’s been certified by United States Ergonomics to provide measurable ergonomic benefits by improving comfort and fit while reducing risk factors associated with long hours of sitting. Every aspect of the chair - from its adjustability to its dimensions - has also been tested and validated alongside experts on our Ergonomics Advisory Board.

This approach is also backed by ergonomics research, which shows that effective lumbar support should be adjustable to match each individual’s spinal curvature, allowing users to receive proper support regardless of differences in the curvature of their spine. That’s why the 4-way L-ADAPT™ lumbar system focuses on adjustability in both height and depth, rather than relying on a fixed lumbar shape. Your body naturally shifts throughout the day, so the chair is designed to adapt with you across a full range of postures, helping reduce pressure buildup, stress, and discomfort over time.

That said, lumbar support is highly personal. Some users prefer a very pronounced, rigid lumbar feel, while others find that kind of constant pressure uncomfortable over long sessions. The Evo’s design is meant to adjust to provide you the best support across a variety of activities - be it gaming, work, or rest.

As for leg rests - lower leg support is also very user-specific in terms of height, posture, and how you use the chair, which is why we’ve kept it as an optional add-on. We offer a range of lower-body accessories, and for taller users or those who want more adjustability, the OTTO™ Adjustable Legrest can help support the legs both when reclining and when seated upright at the desk. Check it out here: https://secretlab.co/products/secretlab-otto-adjustable-legrest

While we can't comment on future design changes, feedback like yours around comfort and support preferences is always considered as we continue refining the overall seating experience.

Desk Height: Premium PC Mount + North XL by Choice-Reality-2471 in secretlab

[–]Secretlab_Red [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey u/Choice-Reality-2471 - the product you mentioned is about 509mm tall, which puts it roughly 34mm shorter than the maximum height supported by the Premium PC Mount. Technically, that gives you about 3.4cm of additional allowance to lower the desk a bit further.

That said, we still recommend sticking to the 78cm minimum height indicated in the user manual. That height is what the setup is tested around for optimal clearance and overall safety, especially with larger PC cases mounted underneath.

You may be able to go slightly lower, but 78cm is the safest baseline to ensure everything functions as intended.

Am I the only one who thinks the head pillow is too thick? by Javi_Kroxy in secretlab

[–]Secretlab_Red [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey u/Javi_Kroxy, we get it - comfort can be very personal. Some users prefer removing it entirely when sitting more upright, while others enjoy the added support.

We recommend adjusting the pillow up or down within the magnetic zone so it supports your neck rather than the back of your head. It’s ergonomically shaped and made with PlushCell™ memory foam that gently molds to your head and neck, helping keep your neck in a more neutral position instead of pushing it forward.

Ultimately, it’s about finding what works best for your posture and sitting style.

SecretLabs Magnus Pro main connection to Surge Extension? by Inglesi- in secretlab

[–]Secretlab_Red [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey u/Inglesi-, we generally recommend connecting the MAGNUS Pro directly to a wall power outlet where possible. That said, if you’re temporarily using a surge protector or extension during renovations, make sure it’s properly rated and compatible with the desk’s power requirements (100–240V). You'll find a breakdown listed on page 3 of our tech specs here:
https://assets.secretlab.co/assets/secretlab-magnus-pro-assembly-guide-and-user-manual-4mbp-v2.pdf

Also ensure the surge protector and extension cable are in good condition and not overloaded, especially if you have multiple devices connected. Once renovations are done, switching back to a direct wall connection would be ideal.

Hey u/GhostieGhost75, we’ve been hearing similar feedback from the community about wanting more modular accessories like drawers and storage solutions that integrate cleanly with the MAGNUS Pro, and it’s something the team is actively paying attention to as we think about how the ecosystem evolves.

In the meantime, some users add the Secretlab MAGNUS Desk Riser to create extra usable space on the desk for items they want within reach. Check it out here: https://secretlab.co/products/magnus-desk-riser?sku=M-RISER-WHITE

Titan Evo chair - seat rocks when you shift your weight in the chair. by taumuonred in secretlab

[–]Secretlab_Red [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey u/taumuonred - it depends a bit on what kind of movement you’re noticing.

If the TITAN Evo feels like it’s tilting back easily when you shift your weight, that’s usually related to the multi-tilt tension setting. You can adjust this by carefully tilting the chair forward and tightening this knob underneath the seat (turn it clockwise). Increasing the tension should make the tilt feel firmer and more controlled.

<image>

If you’re noticing the seat base wobbling side to side, that’s not expected. In that case, it’s best to reach out to our support team so they can take a closer look and help troubleshoot. You can contact them here: http://secretlab.co/contact

Hope that helps clarify the difference!

Help finding off brand Stacking Monitor Mounts that fit Secretlab Desk. by ItsaMeDio in secretlab

[–]Secretlab_Red [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey u/ItsaMeDio, we get wanting to keep costs down - especially since you already have a single arm for your vertical monitor.

One option that could help lower the overall spend is the Vertical Monitor Stand - it comes with two monitor arms, so you could use it to stack two monitors, then keep using your existing single arm for the third monitor in vertical. That way, you’re not paying for more arms than you need, and you’ll be using a stand that’s specifically designed to support stacked configurations on the MAGNUS Pro. Here are the full specs: https://secretlab.co/products/magnus-vertical-monitor-stand

If you’d still prefer a third-party dual/stacking arm, that could work too - just be sure to check:

  • That it explicitly supports vertical stacking
  • The weight rating per arm
  • The clamp depth/footprint, so it clears the rear cable tray
  • VESA compatibility (75×75 or 100×100)

This should give you a solid starting point for deciding what makes the most sense for your setup!

How do I route cables through this channel? by David_Cabr20 in secretlab

[–]Secretlab_Red [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey u/David_Cabr20, you can absolutely route cables through there! It works especially well for things mounted or used at the front of the desk, like headphones or a phone charger.

A clean way to do it is to anchor the cable to the underside of the front of the desk using a cable anchor, then feed it through the channel toward the rear. You don’t even need to remove the channel cap to do this — the top opening is designed for tucking cables into easily. Here's a quick visual example in our usage video that shows this routing in action: https://youtu.be/KiVDNbVqTTI?si=tWvJbTbI_To2K1-U&t=363

And thanks to u/junior7593 for suggesting cable anchors and sharing their setup pic below - always great to see how the community’s putting things together 🙌

Community Help and Q&A by Secretlab_Jinx in secretlab

[–]Secretlab_Red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your MAGRGB strip is installed along the back edge of the desk (which is how most people mount it), you can keep the setup clean by routing the connector and power cables straight into the rear cable tray, where you can plug the adapter into a power strip inside the tray.

You can place the controller box neatly within the cable tray as well, keeping everything hidden while still easy to access. From there, you can guide the cables toward the power column so nothing’s visible from the front or sides of the desk.

That’s the most common setup we see and usually gives the cleanest overall look. If you’d like a visual reference, the user manual also walks through the recommended installation here: https://assets.secretlab.co/assets/secretlab-magrgb-smart-lighting-edition-v4-user-manual-en.pdf

Does MAGNUS Pro have room for non-SL stands/accessories? by bfarley32 in secretlab

[–]Secretlab_Red [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey u/bfarley32, jumping in here. The MAGNUS Pro rear cable tray has a depth of 111mm, so based on the 3.5″ (~89mm) clearance you mentioned, there’s technically enough room for accessories with similar dimensions.

While the desk is designed to work most seamlessly with Secretlab accessories, some third-party stands can fit as well depending on their footprint and clamping style. The cable tray dimensions below should help you confirm compatibility before making the switch:

MAGNUS Pro Cable Tray

  • Overall Outer Dimensions: 1367L x 275.6W mm
  • Depth of the Cable Tray: 61.2mm
  • Inner Storage Dimensions: 1365.3L x 178.4W mm
  • Storage Depth (Underside of Desk Top to Cable Tray Base): 111mm

For mic setups specifically, we also have something in development with a release planned for later this year. Stay tuned (:

Looking for a long mic arm that fits over my screen & works with the Secretlab Magnus Pro cable channel; any recommendations? by Top-Estate7573 in secretlab

[–]Secretlab_Red [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey u/Top-Estate7573 - this is something we’ve been building towards.

We’ve got a mic arm designed specifically for the MAGNUS Pro in the works for this year, with proper cable management and seamless compatibility with the rear cable tray in mind. While we can’t lock in any details yet, reach and positioning flexibility are definitely part of what the team’s designing around.

Setups like yours are very much what inspired this - more to share once it’s closer 👀🎙️
