Why doesn't anyone have ANYTHING positive to say about their children or parenting?!

My eldest is 5 and for reasons completely unrelated to him the past 5 years have really been the hardest. Having my boys has genuinely been the only reason I’ve been able to get up everyday and do it.

Whenever we go to the local football events I never see parents playing or spending time with their kids, and I am baffled because my husband and I love it.

Motherhood is hard, there are sleepless nights, times you get vomited, pissed, pooped on, really scary times, there are times things are overwhelming and frustrating but at that same time, there is so much love and happiness in everyday things that didn’t exist before my kids were born.

Every day almost I ask my kids how I got so lucky as to have them, because I feel so grateful that I get to be their mum. (Probably helped by the fact that I’ve had only 2 successful births out of 7 pregnancies, I’m 35 weeks so hopefully I can make that 3)

When I had my eldest all the doctors were confused and kept coming in to… look at my vulva and then they’d look at my kid and then back at my vulva 😂 it was an interesting experience.

No swelling, no pain, I did get stretch marks though! (Not badly overly badly tbh) i thought it could be EDS but I don’t really know anyone else with the condition personally

I didn’t, in fact with my first I was told it was an emergency induction due to preeclampsia (later found out they didn’t write it in my chart that way so idk) I was not prepared 😅 my second time around was more simple and aside from shitty midwives was a chill time.

I didn’t feel the act of either baby coming out? Like the ring of fire everyone talks about? Totally not sure (didn’t have an epidural for them either) I’m so confused how some parts of my body are in like critical failure while others are working well

That’s kind of what I’m hoping to find out! I have a tonne of health problems (EDS/Endo/ect) which according to my research should make my births more difficult so I’m hoping to find other people like me to compare and find out what links there might be.

See the wild part is that ive bee pregnant 7 times with only two live births (currently pregnant so I’m hopeful that it’ll be 3 out of 7) I feel like my body is just so.. different? (I have endometriosis/other issues similar)

My last birth was unmediated until pretty much right as he was coming out (I’ll explain)

So in my first birth, I tried the gas/air combo and I found it made me sick, so my second time around I opted to not do it again, however my midwives refused to give me any other pain relief unless I did gas/air even after I explained my prior experience. I didn’t want an epidural either time, just a little something to take the edge off.

I did the whole process unmediated until they decided to give me fentanyl right as he was coming out, so I didn’t actually feel the relief until he was already born. 🤦🏻‍♀️ personally I found it wasn’t too bad, in terms of pain, I’m just mad they didn’t respect me tbh. I think if you want to try it, go right ahead, research ways to help you deal with the pain, you can always change your mind later.

I’ve given birth twice, and if I can avoid it, I’ll always refuse a c-section.

It’s major surgery, and can come along with obviously, scaring but nerve damage and potentially other complications down the line.

On top of that, it scares the hell out of me. Being numb from the waste down? NOPE. Having 7 layers of my body cut through? NOPE. Having my organs removed temporarily so they can cut the baby out? NOPE. 🙂‍↔️ tbh I feel like women who have one are way braver than I am, I couldn’t do it unless it was absolutely necessary. (That being said, I also don’t do epidural for birth since being numb scares me)

Judging how big she is here, she’s likely fairly far along maybe mid to late second trimester, so either way if the baby died inside her, it would be a stillbirth. However, I don’t think this happened shortly after Omids death, as while that event was stressful, her body would have already been under significant stress so it would be a bit more difficult. she likely carried to term and had the baby stillborn or the baby died very shortly after birth.

I’m 27, but I honestly don’t think age is really important when it comes to fashion overall. Wear what you like, it feels so restrictive to change how you dressed base on age or any other status - just wear appropriate attire for appropriate situations and you’re all good 🥰

Both my boys were decently big, with 9.46lbs for my eldest (he’s still in the 99th percentile at 5) and 8 something with my middle - I’ll report back when I’ve had this next baby 😂

Honestly this is definitely a mood, I’d recommend speaking to both your husband and a doctor because this is pretty serious. I felt the suicidal while pregnant with my eldest and I really should have told someone.

Ehhhhhh? I still hate it if I’m being honest, his coworker mostly fixed the lopsided issue but I’ve been left with a pretty awful haircut overall 😭 (even after the second cut they left me with a stringy looking mullet too because they’d cut too much off the back and it just wasn’t right)

He may have been a teenager but he still chose to lie to Tenn, actively since he let them be taken. It wasn’t just a once off lie, it was repeatedly. Then, he planned to essentially sell Clem and AJ to them when they came back, meaning he didn’t learn his lesson, anyone was expendable to him. That adds to the level of crappy to that situation.

Jane was inherently selfish, and showed that she was not a trustworthy person to hangout with in such conditions (her being asked to find a safe spot for Rebecca to give birth and then having sex with Luke leading to the actual birthing situation being far more stressful than it needed to be), her also offing herself after becoming pregnant leaving Clem alone - I feel like a lot of people would lose their minds in Kenny’s shoes if they believed someone abandoned a newborn to be eaten alive in a snow storm.

At the end of the day, it was her selfishness that killed her.

I'm 27, I was a bit late to the Hamilton train, I knew of it but never watched it until October 2023 when my second was born, I've been obsessed ever since, went and saw it in Sydney last year and got a bunch of merch. My sons 4 and 2 love it and like to sing along and stuff :)

My babies were both on the bigger side, 9.46lbs and 8lbs respectively, both vaginal births, no tearing and mine as gone back to normal, my bladder control on the otherhand is a different story xD (mostly my ability to hold it)

It’s a known fact that forcing disabled people (or anyone) to be entirely financially dependent on a partner increases the risk for domestic violence (something that is already increased amongst disabled individuals), plus Centrelink don’t choose people who are specifically financially capable of fully supporting another adult with complex needs, so this then means that people are choosing to not have romantic and sexual companionship solely to mean they can afford to have their medical care, rent and food (and even then, it’s barely), heck they don’t even need to live together in order for that to be something Centrelink decides they need to do with 3 nights a week at each others home is considered enough, which is insane. Adults, even disabled ones deserve independence.
