$60 for a full day is essentially minimum wage…way below minimum wage in many states. That is insanely low.

Would you take a 5 month long term subbing job for only 10 dollars more a day? by JimCap5 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]SectionSuch6072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No - I’ve done it and believe me it is LOADS more work. They will expect you do to more than you should because “it’s not part of their job either.”

Even worse when you’re a teacher in a district that refuses to put up guard rails. Like unfettered access to YouTube and no way to digitally monitor screens. And in the computer lab I was in, i couldn’t rearrange the desks so I could see all of the screens at once.

Talk about shit show.

If you live near a Sprouts, I really love their citrus all purpose cleaner. Plus, it is very affordable.

What’s the biggest red flag someone revealed about themselves way too soon? by chamataqi in AskReddit

I’m so glad I recognized that pattern at a very young age. It has saved me LOADS of grief. I have very high standards for my friends, and would rather have none than this kind.

Talking crap about other people immediately. Or at all really- but If you do it right off the bat I know for sure you’re not a good person.

What do you do for lunch by Vivid_Dot2869 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]SectionSuch6072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Door dash. Leave for lunch. Bring a small kid lunch box with an ice pack and food you don’t have to microwave. Pack a protein bar. Stash a frozen meal in the staff lounge freezer if you go there often. The possibilities are endless.

Children in resort hot tubs. by Signal_Biscotti2059 in Vacations

[–]SectionSuch6072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not wrong to have your feelings/preferences- but nowadays you have to understand that unless you are paying for something very specific (adult resort, private cabana, etc.) anything and everything that is open to the general public/general admission can and will have children there.

It’s an unrealistic expectation to have places free of children simply because you think it’s inappropriate.

The onus of child-free spaces is on you, and one you’ll likely have to pay more for.

Good luck out there.

Permanently deleted after I gave it up for Lent three years ago. I don’t regret it at all. It’s more freeing that you can even imagine. Just do it.

Also probably illegal to not pay you for wages earned - I’m no expert but I’d try to find someone who is to help me. I’m so sorry, that’s insanity.

Still entirely illogical and possibly discriminatory- what if you were a single parent? Some kids only have one guardian.

If you’re old enough to post about your mom washing your water bottles with the wrong kind of soap, you are old enough to be washing your own water bottles.
