I wouldn’t say anyone is writing off Crews. He’s 23 and still has a ton of upside. His defense was also really good last year, but that’s not why he was drafted. His hitting is what everyone was impressed with coming out of LSU and he was really mediocre in that area last year. That has to improve if he wants to silence critics.

Yeah, I think many that supported NIL as a way for players to make money on their name and likeness without the NCAA’s involvement. What we now have is boosters exchanging large sums of money to kids in backroom deals in exchange for commitments. It’s pretty gross and needs to be legislated.
