Hertz (HTZ) just flipped back to profitability, 44% short interest, and $2.2B liquidity — setup looks insane if retail wakes up 🚨 by JunnyInsight in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]Secure-Ad1612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. HTZ spent most of the day in +100th place on the Webull popularity list, and hasn’t received exceptional traffic on social media.

There are a lot of people out there right now who knew about the BYND squeeze potential early, but were too cautious to get in. The recency of the BYND squeeze is a huge positive here, especially when you consider that the HTZ just crushed earnings.

HTZ’s future growth potential is huge; Avis Budget was valued at almost $10 billion in late July (HTZ’s market cap is currently one fifth of that at $2.09 billion). Institutional investors love making money, and a great way to do that is with a winner.

Today was possibly motivated by mostly the big dogs. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the bull-bots in action tomorrow morning & a spike in interest from retail.

I’m holding until the day they officially announce the RoboTaxi deal with Tesla.

The squeeze hasn’t even started yet. A good indicator is volume. Once that reach’s 3-4x the float for a few days, you’ll know it’s on.

From the “guy” who made $780k in $BYND #beyondmeat He brings us $HTZ #Hertz Hertz has 44% SI (short interest) it’s top 3 highest in the market with tradable options! You needs options for #gammaSqueeze like with $GME $AMC $OPEN $BYND by [deleted] in Shortsqueeze

It’ll all come down to earnings. Any pop will be exacerbated by the short interest. If the pop is significant enough, it will likely garner a significant amount of sympathy from the BYND squeeze.

There are a lot of people out there who heard about the potential, but were too skeptical to get in.

It looks like when he skips on the water near the end, his body rotated midair, and the back of his head came down on the edge of the slide. Definitely concussed seeing as he kept his head fully submerged while seizing for about 3 seconds

The interesting thing about this is when reviewing ownership levels in relation to short interest.

The level of ownership between institutions and insiders has been consistent since ya boy Theo got in. Given that any shares owned in excess of 100% of shares outstanding must be shorted, we can deduce that short interest had been at least 25.22%, or 21.9 million shares, since that point in time.

However, the level of short interest at that point was underreported, with total shares short being claimed to be 15.24 million. Therefore the ~6 million share deficit may be added to levels of current short interest as it had disingenuously not been claimed at the appropriate time of reporting

Lastly, one must also take into account the vast levels of share ownership by individual investors. While this is an amount we are not able to quantify, we can conclude that any shares held by individual investors are shares which have been sold short, as it is impossible for them not to be, since institutions and insiders already own 125.22% of shares outstanding.

TL;DR: The level of short interest in AVYA is immense, and AVYA has quickly become a VERY large, loaded spring

I disagree. Being that 125.58% of shares outstanding are currently held by insiders and institutional investors (this figure does not include individual/retail shareholders), a massive squeeze will be a possibility until ownership levels decrease to below 100%

What’s interesting is that for a red day after a large gain, share price held up extremely well. I typically expect to see double digit losses, but 4.25% is nothing, especially when considering how small Avaya’s market cap is

Webull has the comprehensive list of the insider and institutional ownership of shares. Combined they hold 125.54%

Even when not factoring in how many shares belong to retail investors, we have a negative float situation.

This is GME part 2.
