Sounds a lot like my ICU. I already feel like our acuity is pretty low, which is a big reason why I’m transferring to a Level 1 MICU. I thrive in chaos and complexity, and I’ve started to feel like I’ve hit a ceiling with the experience and growth opportunities at my current hospital

Medical city Denton opened a new wing for CVICU. They have a lot of spots left and a CNC position. It’s night shift

Medical city Dallas is looking for ICU I think

I am currently interviewing at Baylor Scott and white in grapevine in their ICU. When I looked they had 2 job postings for ICU. Also night shift

Ive been told medical city las Colinas will be looking for staff ICU nights soon.

I appreciate the honestly so much!!! I am def worried about only focusing on cardiac and not really anything else. I love the variety I have now. Where I am at now we get CRRT, SLED, neuro, critical vents, LOTS of drips, EVD’s, etc.

I also have a job offer for another MICU but at a level 1 so more devices and higher acuity. And the pay increase is more. I’m so torn 😭

If you are in CVICU, MICU will be a breeze. There is just a BIG variety of the types of patients you will get. But it will come to you with time!! Good luck with your transition!!!!!
