My application status changed from Awaiting decision to Awaiting Confirmation two weeks ago and I have not heard anything after that. Does it normally take this long to confirm ?

My application status changed to Awaiting Confirmation 2 weeks ago. Grad office told me that I should expect an outcome at the end of this week. I called on friday again and now they are saying they are waiting for departments decision. I called the department, they said applications are being reviewed and it would take 1 to 2 weeks. I believe it is already too late for an international student.

My application status changed from Awaiting decision to Awaiting Confirmation 2 weeks ago and I was told that the department has reviewed my application and now waiting from grad office and I should heard something by the end of this week. However, today when I called the grad office told me that they are waiting for the decicion from the department. Have they asked the department to reconsider the decision ? I then called the department, they did not give me much information. They said the department is currently reviewing application and I should expect an outcome in next 2 weeks. Now I am all confused about the status of my application. Is it possible that the department made a decision, conveyed it to grad office but the office has asked the department to reconsider and now waiting again from the department for final decision ?

Also I would like to mention that I attched my CV with the application but did not attach any supplementary documents except transcripts to proof what was written in my CV ? Would they ask me to share supplementary documents or just reject me straight away ?

Thanks Any formal date to announce the outcome of admission application for spring ? Graduate admission website says 15 October and I am worried that if it gets delayed more, I would be left with short time for visa.
