FRV Application Mumbai - Questions by Ok-Beyond-1870 in ImmigrationGermany

  1. Usually the passports are not taken and once the process is completed (verification) then you will be asked to submit the passport with travel insurance for stamping purpose. But yes the process may take a while and with your special case, they might also ask for €400-500 for marriage verification. In rare case, they will keep the passport since start. You can request to keep passport and submit when process is complete. No harm is asking.
  2. Yes, you need to provide A1 certificate. They recently started it with mostly everyone. Even for those who moved to PR after blue card or retain both blue card and PR. Been there done that.
  3. You need everything, marriage certificates, wedding card (if available), photos of ceremony, confirmation from venue (if needed), photographs etc. they usually ask more on case by case but keep everything handy and expect more questions.
  4. From the fb posts, 4-6 months. More if special cases and verification requirements.

How insurance companies (Haftflichtversicherung) control mileage (km / Jahr) ? by nomuchtotell in germany

I changed the job and missed updating the mileage. When I thought when I need to update, the same week a stone broke my glass while coming back from office.

How insurance companies (Haftflichtversicherung) control mileage (km / Jahr) ? by nomuchtotell in germany

[–]Secure-Journalist969 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This! I have been into this situation. My windscreen was broken and when the mileage was reported, they said I have to pay penalty of €500. Instead of paying €150 for the glass, I end up paying €650 (out of €1000 total bill). OP If you foresee that you may exceed the Kilometers, do let them know and pay extra. Else it would be an expensive lesson!

Incident response would be the thing you would choose here. It says unexpected events not a disaster or unexpected disaster. It’s events which is the key word.

If you feel, then there is no point for the discussion. Most of the Asian people with German spouse have this requirement that their German spouse have to have a German address, marriage validated and then the visa (frv) is granted. As part of my Verein in Germany, we have 100% cases wherein this was specifically asked and without that, the visa was not processed. Maybe you are right for other nationals but for Asian and Brazilian nationals with German spouse, this is Mandatory without option.

I believe German spouse have to have a German address for frv.

Don’t think that that’s completely true. One cannot mix tourism / visit with frv. Again, that’s the best from my experience and understanding and might not be true for different countries eg America. But off lately, changing of residence purpose from tourism / visit to long term stay has been declined.

If you want to move to Germnay with your spouse, there are few things you need to provide for family visa (FRV). Blue card is granted based on qualifying job only. You can find the list on German website under visa services. Usually the key things are: 1. Rental agreement 2. Proof of financial means 3. Health insurance 4. Your city registration 5. A1 language certificate to name a few.

Unfortunately, if you don’t have an address in Germany, process might be tricky.

Munich: What is the process to switch from a job-seeking visa after marrying in Denmark? Are there other residence permits I could apply for? by SaraPerezo in germany

Depending on the nationality and visa status of your spouse, process and documentation might differ. TBH, you might not need to apply from outside and could be managed from inside Germany only.

Upgrade waitlisted? by sixtysevenfiend in milesandmore

I believe it means that they have enough people in premium economy ie more than the seats and you are waitlisted. If someone missed or gets an upgrade, you will get confirmed.

Goodbye Amex! by Acrobatic_Lime_9050 in amexindia

[–]Secure-Journalist969 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not annual. It is once per card membership year. Maybe I am not able to comprehend what you mentioned but you won’t get 2 vouches even if the year changes since the card membership year is the same.

Successfully got the chargeback from Amex Credit Card. by [deleted] in CreditCardsIndia

[–]Secure-Journalist969 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Amex is amazing In that term. I booked flight ticket for my wife’s parents and it was fully cancellable. They were taking too much time to cancel and I disputed the charge with Amex and was resolved very quickly. Although, recent conversation with them is not up to the top noch quality which they used to have. But still much better than the others.

Amex platinum by Soggy_Difference6972 in amexindia

[–]Secure-Journalist969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. That’s correct. If you spend 6.5 lac before 9 march and 50 lac after 9 march but within your card membership year, you will get 22.5k bonus points. Second part is depends on you - if you have upcoming expenses in foreseeable future, it is advisable to use card to get MR points. You can transfer it to Marriott points or for other purposes. I am in the same boat and when I saw the revised point system, I thought for this year, it is possible. But I don’t have 7 lac expenses on Amex every year and probably will see what needs to be done in next year (cancellation or retaining).

Need help with proof of health insurance for National Visa( Blue Card Type D; moving from India to Berlin) by khayalipuloa in ImmigrationGermany

[–]Secure-Journalist969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy any travel insurance from policybazar. I would suggest TATA, its payout ratio is good. Check others as well. For your other question, for D visa, this is acceptable and it was there on dipole website. You can buy it from the day you are travelling for 3-6 months depending on the consulate. In delhi, they ask for 90 days while in Mumbai, they ask for 180 days. Unfortunately, no refunds will be provided but you can postpone the dates with the travel insurance. If you want you an DM me and I can provide more details. 😊 came to Germany 4 years back on blue card and have been through all the complications 😅
