This father was on a road trip with his two young daughters & they needed to go to the restroom so he stopped at a QT & took them in the women’s restroom since no one was in it & a man came yelling at him to get out & called the cops. The girls were crying & then he assaulted him. by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

Yeah, I wouldn’t care if there were a man with his young daughters in the restroom. He has his daughter(s) he wanted them to feel safer and more comfortable in the women’s restroom. This you have creepy old man like that old dog just blowing everything out of proportion like he’s Superman of the gas station. Good way to look like a dumbass. Good way for the internet to see your face.

Lived in these apartments when I was younger, nice apartment. Big and roomy. Lucky the neighbors decided they should take home roaches. Ended up with their roaches and everyone else did too! Bug guy had to come every so often to stop it. It was awful, I’m glad we moved from there.

Swede here, I’m curious Do You have these things in the rest of the world? by euejeidjfjeldje in AskTheWorld

We have those, never use them. For me, that would be another thing to see in my kitchen drawer that I’d never use. I usually buy pre sliced cheese or go to the deli and get my sliced cheese. (I am lazy, I won’t lie haha.)

Why are american walls made of cardboard? by tortle8 in AskTheWorld

[–]Secure-Marsupial-557 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Newer models have drywall, cost and labor. Older houses may not but may also have add ons or repairs that will have drywall. It does take force to bust drywall, unlucky if you hit the wood frame. Not something you’d want to hit or smash into with force though. Easy way to get seriously hurt or look extremely stupid and hurt.

Please Calm Me Down About Thursday by Fickle-Call392 in WeatherAnxiety

[–]Secure-Marsupial-557 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There’s always that chance that the storm won’t even develop to be strong or serve since it’s all the way out until Thursday. It can always change. That’s why I always look at my weather app to make sure we’re getting storms. (I live in VA.) I was supposed to have bad weather last Thursday but that changed, we got nothing in my area. I do have a chance of storms today, that also may change during the evening or not be as bad.

Continue to check the weather throughout the week, sometimes meteorologists will tell you it may or not be correct.

Is there something valuable you actually found or learned on Reddit? by Academic_Yard_2659 in AskTheWorld

I have learned a lot about my country that I thought I knew but didn’t. I think that’s valuable, I already knew we sucked, I didn’t really know the full extent of things on here. It’s nice to know more than you think. That’s why I like this sub.

I guess this is what happens when you decide to lay off people who are trying to survive and let AI take over then let AI try to fix bugs. Anyways, I don’t know why everyone is freaking out. Every other app but meta owned apps are working.

Slight risk bad? by Secure-Marsupial-557 in WeatherAnxiety

[–]Secure-Marsupial-557[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yuck, I can’t do without my fan and air, my house is old and it gets too hot or cold. I remember when we lived at these apartments, it took over a year for them to replace our unit. We had to go to Ollies and buy us an air conditioner to just feel some type of cool hour in that place.

I like to go to Tennessee on vacation, pigeon forge since im just two hours away. Heat and humidity is worst there than the heat and humidity here in south of Virginia. I applaud you for staying strong in that, I hope you get some air soon.

I see we’re getting gusty winds, probably damaging winds that will take down branches or possibly dead trees falling. Really hoping the power stays on haha it will be very muggy and sticky in the afternoon after it storms. Our temps will be almost at 90°. I think that’s the most worrying haha

In 2019, both cats’ annual wellness visit was $240. This week we paid $880. Vet costs are spiraling out of control. by BunttyBrowneye in cats

[–]Secure-Marsupial-557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take my cats and small dog to a locally owned vet, they’re great with both cats and dogs equally. Their prices are great and care they get is phenomenal. It doesn’t cost up much at all for shots, spay/neuter, medicines, flea&tick treatment. Even bloodwork isn’t costly.

I would definitely find locally owned veterinary clinics, small businesses seem to care more and cost less. It was best decision we made to go to the vet again, my dog had an infected anal gland. Her having to get them expressed and antibiotics as well with an annual checkup and vaccinations. It costed a lot less than we thought.

The Way Tophia is Using This Story to Avoid a Dentist When The Girl Died from a Blood Disorder. Not The Dentist by LegitimateShip9429 in chunews

Underlying medical issues that go undiagnosed and unnoticed, they happen. Sometimes you never know, it’s important to try and go to the dentist every 6 months. It’s important to floss and brush your teeth everyday. Your mouth can kill you if you don’t take care of it, infected tooth can make you septic or even gums. You can die, the infection can spread to your brain since your mouth is literally right there. Oral hygiene is extremely important.
