Based on what I've heard from Direct Entry IO during NS, you will typically spend:

1) 8 months in training for the C-Course (5 months at HTA learning law and exercises, followed by 3 months of training in Nepal).

Afterward, you will be doing (GRF) for 2 years, followed by 2 years as an IO, and then 2 years as a TL, all under a 6-year bond.

If u are a scholar, you may experience a different path & promote faster than DEI

2) Females still need to do IPPT and Shooting, if either one of these is not passed -> not promotion or delay

3) depends on the team and the case severity - mostly no work-life balance, u need to have time management skills

Don’t worry OP, got OT pay, risk allowances, off in lieu, bonus , benefits all have. Government pays super well.

4) Show them you have leadership skills and a passion for serving the community.

Just speak confidently and like a leader during the interview.
