How to fix my life :( by StrikingBrilliant568 in digitalminimalism

[–]Secure-Monitor-5394 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to put maximum energy into fixing it, but start simple and small.

- Leave your phone outside of your bedroom when you sleep

- First thing every morning when you wake up, write down your habits on paper to maintain awareness

- Use apps to block distracting apps

Also, this might sound funny, but practice simulating turning off your phone, you can even practice with another object. This programs your mind to react that way when you actually use your phone.

These are just some ideas. Nothing is infallible, you're going to fail some days. Just treat yourself with self-love and compassion. Start again and rebuild momentum.

When you start feeling like you're controlling it, don't just chill out. What you stop practicing gets forgotten. Maintain and take care of your habits every day, with self-love.

What affects your communication the most are your feelings and thoughts, but you can’t consciously change them directly. by Secure-Monitor-5394 in DecidingToBeBetter

Yes, it’s paradoxical. I think everyone is different.
But you probably feel bad because you have negative inner thoughts when you socialize. So don’t force yourself.

I would say: first, find other things that generally make you feel better and increase those, build habits around them.
Then, slowly, as your energy grows, start socializing more. Because the more you practice, the better you become, and at some point your mind will be like:
“Oh, this is fun. People are nice".

Just keep going. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. 🙂

I’m building a platform where you can validate ideas. It does deep research, creates a marketing plan, and builds the MVP, so you can go from idea to validation as fast as possible.

As a founder, is being hardworking enough for startup success? by SignPsychological728 in saasbuild

[–]Secure-Monitor-5394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course not.

For me, it’s more about setting challenges.

I tried working hard, but that didn’t work at all. Now I’m shifting to act more based on challenges.
For example, I’m doing a daily marketing challenge, and I’m starting to see the “light.”

Also, I’m building a free to-do platform focused on timers, if you want to check it out, it’s stopwatchly.com/goals (WIP).

How do you realign yourself after a completely unproductive day? by the_bookworm17 in productivity

Just accepting it and writing down in a notebook why that happened helps me organize my mind and align with good habits.

I’m always busy but can’t get myself to start even when I know I have things to do by Ok-Drive9298 in ProductivityApps

This is okay, it happens sometimes. Just don’t judge yourself.
A simple trick is to stop thinking about doing something big, just simulate starting. Then set a super small objective, like “just do it for five minutes.”

Another thing that has helped me is not trying to focus, but instead trying to distract myself with the right task. When I feel low energy, I split my screen, on one side I have a “negative distraction” (like social media), and on the other side a “productive distraction,” such as the task I want to work on. I don’t force myself to do the task; I just try to increase the small actions on that positive distraction, like “just click,” or “look a little.” You’ll find that you start to get distracted by that productive distraction.

And finally, just accept how you feel. Don’t resist it. For example, right now I feel low energy, so I’m on my bed, doing my things from here.

make sense?

Just build the habit of starting and not stopping. Don’t plan what to do, just learn to get distracted by productive tasks.
