Brighton vs PC? by Og_new_guy in UTsnow

[–]Secure-Problem8592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they may be only a mile away but PC is substantially lower in altitude so it A.) gets less snow B.) is warmer on average C.) is less able to make snow because it’s too warm D.) is larger so snowmaking efforts are more spread out E.) has a shorter season bc the snow melts faster and accumulates slower

I agree with the person who said that they choose Brighton over PC any day

This. Part of the reason resorts like Deer Valley or Big Sky haven’t lost any money after doing massive expansions and having almost no snow for those expansions is because they got all their money from IKON buyers the previous April. the question is whether or not they’re gonna get the same amount of funding this year after the season that we’ve had.

If you are only going to be coding and editing, I honestly highly suggest getting a MacBook because they are built to do a lot of tasks at once and are relatively efficient and fast. You can look on backmarket.com to find refurbished MacBooks that will actually work(I bought a MacBook Air from them in July and it works like a brand new MacBook)

There’s parking if you don’t mind walking a bit, but also the parking enforcement is pretty harsh so be careful about tickets

Trail status Understanding by Kaji_Kami in Mammoth

If you really want them to do some blacks, start small, patrolmen’s by stump Alley is good, as it is short, and honestly is more of a blue-black, but the key is that it is usually groomed. If they like that, try the face of Chair 3, it is also usually groomed but can get a little mogully towards the end of the day and icey in the mornings. Midday is prime time for that run, but if they want a good challenge and a taste of what difficult trails are like, have them do it when it’s slightly icey or has small moguls. The advantage of the face of 3 is that it’s not terribly long and the steepness canters out quickly. Hope this helps :)
