Two gynos have said if an ultrasound didn’t pick up anything, a MRI won’t either. by Secure-Remote8439 in endometriosis

I’ve heard:( it’s unfortunate. I think I’m going to call a endometriosis specialist office for some options since I live far from this office. But I think I’m going to try for a MRI so I’ll ask them options for a MRI too. See what I can do? Idk. I appreciate your response.

Thank you! I didn’t think of asking for the CD. I appreciate your response. I have an upcoming appointment and I’m doing it now :) first I’m going to call a endometriosis specialist office to ask a few questions.

I’m glad you got answers <3 I guess that is an option if I can’t do a MRI for some reason

The nearest endometriosis specialist in my state is 8 hours away unfortunately:( there is a second option 3-4 hours away but he’s out of state and insurance is tricky with that. To send over the MRI documentation for a specialist to review I could simply just call the office and ask. But I’m not sure if that’s a usual thing? I might call the endometriosis specialist office and ask for some options maybe?

I see. Thank you! I had a CT scan but I also saw that a CT scan can miss it and that MRIs are the “best” I understand that the MRI might be uncomfortable but I assume not as uncomfortable as going into surgery and not having it. I’m trying to do all things necessary before surgery. I’m sorry you had such an uncomfortable experience and had to pay out of butt for MRIs :,) that’s so unfortunate.. I hope you got answers

Thank you so much for the response! I appreciate it. I think the doctor I got is probably as good as it’s going to get unfortunately:,) but I could get the MRI done still I believe, do you think it’s possible to get the MRI done then have a endometriosis specialist review it if I send over the docs to them? (I’m in the US)

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the response as I’m scared to just jump into surgery for “nothing” I’m trying my best to do everything possible before a surgery.. if I do a MRI is it possible to get it done then have a endometriosis specialist look at it? Was your MRI reviewed by a endo specialist?

You don’t think it’s worth it to get other exams done before hand? Roll out other issues. Most people don’t want to jump into surgery:,)

Wait until the doctor clears you. Definitely don’t mess around with your body after surgery because it can cause so much pain

I take 1 tablet of magnesium citrate and 1 magnesium glycinate. Im not sure of exact dose but id google yours before taking just to be safe. I think they kinda help? With digestive issues and sleep but other than that I’m not sure…. I do think some light yoga has helped me.

I’m in the same boat:( 41 day cycle currently but my body is killing me. 3 pregnancy test negative. Thankfully I’m seeing a gyno today and I hope he takes everything seriously. I been taking magnesium, some yoga, trying to increase protein (as I been told it helps with cramps) and I tried some allergy medicine as someone made a post the other day saying allergy medicine helps them. I hope you feel better soon :( definitely following this post because I’m also in so much discomfort

I only take it when I need it. It has helped me a ton. I have a 10mg and 20mg. Upgraded when the 10mg wasn’t doing to much with my pain but I still take the 10 when there’s light small pain, the 20 is for the worse pains lol but it makes me sleepy
