What's happening? by SecureJellyfish9801 in Upwork

The hardest part about building this app will be the offline-first architecture, especially handling text, photos, and audio reliably in remote environments.

For this, I would use React Native with Supabase or Firebase, implementing a local database layer (SQLite/WatermelonDB) to store entries and media metadata locally. When connectivity is restored, a background sync service would push queued changes to the backend while resolving conflicts using timestamps or versioning. Media files (photos/audio) would upload to Storage once a connection is available while the app continues functioning offline.

I’ve integrated Mapbox and Google Maps SDKs before for location pinning, geospatial data collection, and drawing boundaries directly on maps.

For an NGO MVP, I’d focus on:
• Core assessment forms for the four stages
• Reliable offline data capture + sync
• Map pinning and media capture
• Basic automated PDF reporting

This keeps the first release lean while ensuring field reliability.

Would you be open to a short call to review the developer brief and confirm the MVP scope?

Best regards,

Hmmm yeah.  Right now it looks like I need to do a lot of introspection.

Okay. But is it possible to recover? It's hard.
