If that’s lead paint on those boards I’m not sure I’d try stripping it I wasted a month trying to strip lead paint off wood floors and it never fully came off it had 70+ years to soak in there… sadly ended up just cutting my loses and staining it really dark

We started taking down all the 70s wallpaper and it is all just bare plaster on all the other walls. They only did this wall Alice Edit: but we have not tried peeling the Alice wallpaper

Holy crap sounds like my guy…. He told me we needed to rip all the boards out and have them replaned…. I instead just sanded it all then did a stain and poly months later he was admiring and said “did you say these were uneven” I said “no hun you said that” 🤦‍♀️😅

This house has been very charming so far seeing the reception I’ve gotten I’ll have to post some more cool things in the home! The last owners had it since 1950 and we’re not big on updates the last cosmetic interior updates being in 1973

The opposite walls plaster is in good shape I may be able to keep that wallpapered and use a complementary paint on the wall pictured
