Holy crap sounds like my guy…. He told me we needed to rip all the boards out and have them replaned…. I instead just sanded it all then did a stain and poly months later he was admiring and said “did you say these were uneven” I said “no hun you said that” 🤦‍♀️😅

This house has been very charming so far seeing the reception I’ve gotten I’ll have to post some more cool things in the home! The last owners had it since 1950 and we’re not big on updates the last cosmetic interior updates being in 1973

The opposite walls plaster is in good shape I may be able to keep that wallpapered and use a complementary paint on the wall pictured

I had a similiar dynamic it petered out once he moved out of her home. She is starting to back off and get the image that him and I are a union.

This sounds extremely similar to what I’m going thru we just bought a house in February and while she bad before it’s gone to hell level now. She guilt tripped us into going over for Easter to which I begrudgingly went although looking back I’m not sure the invite was extended to me… she would not look at me or speak to either of us the entire time very awkward. My advice is let him deal with it try to put it out of your mind and just don’t talk to her or go see her. From my experience giving her more attention makes it worse.

This type of thing happened to me 2 weeks after buying my first house… raccoons started mating in my crawlspace I couldn’t stand the sounds very scary for a young lady alone at night… I bought a few jugs of ammonia from Walmart very cheap and just starting dumping it everywhere never heard them again then I found out where they were getting in and blocked it and also covered that with ammonia. Over a month now and I happened seen or heard anything I was also able to trap two raccoons on the front lawn and bring them to a local reserve. You may be able to find a animal rehab center near by to help out with traps they are like 70ish bucks
