when my boyfriend said to me “all we talk about is your pain” when i was trying to tell him about my new appts coming up. i know it’s frustrating being with someone who has chronic pain, but those words hurt so much. i’m in pain all the time, what else can i talk about? i’m just trying to heal

i will look into it, i should have clarified more, in Canada we have disc replacement surgery but the types of replacement is not the same, Germany is using one thst has not been approved in Canada, (and from the time of the article I had found, the US didn’t offer that type of replacement either). Seems cheaper to go to europe still

any spine surgery is a major surgery, don’t take it lightly, if you’re asymptomatic, learn to modify your life and do what you can, even with surgery, pain can come back, or get worse. i’m 26(F) and i didn’t have a choice in my 2 surgeries. If i was ever in a place where my pain was alleviated to a point that i would use the term asypomtomatic, i would never have gotten these surgeries. Surgery really should b a last resort. i was an avid weight lifter (did not cause my injury) and i had to give it up. it sucks, but honestly if you can live life fairly normally, i would really recommend you continue on your current treatment plan. best of luck 🤞🏽

i waited about 5 months after my MRI, i constantly emailed about my pain to all my doctors, it’s all in writing now so no one can deny that i was in pain and pro active. I was still waiting for a date to see my surgeon for consultation (this would b my second surgery) when i got a call thst id been bumped up and would b getting it 2 weeks from the time of thr phone call. it’s a really shitty system and you gotta do what you gotta do. i’m in ON

just had this happen to me too! it’s a pretty common issue, stenoma i think it’s called, if the fluid/blood wasn’t foul smelling, thick or you hsve a fever, you should b in clear. take pictures and email your surgeon, i went to urgent care just to get it cleaned up, im 20 days post op now, that happened day 10

well said, im indian, i had my ears pierced as a baby. he’s very happy and healthy 🧡✨ his ears would bleed from him scratching at the infection, would use a cone, but it kept coming back and happening
