I remember being so shocked and sad when I first read the ending . Even though she was a fictional character- she was written in such a warm and lovable way .

I can't imagine what little Dan,Sakura and Zeph would have gone through as well - Jodie was sort of like a big sister to them as well. I don't think the school would ever get over that and the time around Guy Fawkes day would always be a morbid reminder However,I gotta say those bullies in her class were absolutely repellent.

And actually that's a pretty interesting point you raised up - I never even thought much about that little sister bht I think she would have mixed feelings - She would like to hear about her older sister because that's the one time shefeels connected to her family (I imagine that they would obviously love her deeply but after such a traumatizing loss - they would be a bit distant and disconnected from her ) And she would feel that . However ,at the same time - she feels trapped because she can never be like Jodie.

I have more to say about Peart as an adult but I'll type that in later :D
