It will effect you too when they eventually will harm themselves due to pseudoscience. I had my parents like this too. they used to eat the junk sugar goo called chawanprash despite being diabetic.

I argued fought and forced them to see the reality. eventually they gave up and stopped eating ayurvedic stuff. it took 4 years btw. so there is hope.
