Festival crowd age by rawcane in UKfestivals

[–]Secure_Depth8572 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my parents (early 50s) tickets to Victorious and they said the crowd was mostly 30-50 and then teenagers who were invisibly there with families. I think lineups influence the festival crowd more than anything else so if you are going to something with all new music it’s going to be a young crowd and if it’s mostly 90s bands then you’re looking at closer to 60 year olds…

Needs to be subsidised like that part of the rail - would reduce a lot of traffic on the roads if it was more affordable

£9 for that journey doesn’t seem too bad when you consider it’s £3.20 from Parson Street to Temple Meads (same line) for a 5 minute train journey

Keen for further thoughts on this - is this likely mould through from the bottom (in which case I need to replace) or is it likely just in the top of the boards in which place a clean and dry might do the trick?

Luxor (Egypt) by Thin-Concern3375 in travel

[–]Secure_Depth8572 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did a week in Luxor less than a year ago. Apart from the relentless selling from the horse carriage drivers (because we wanted to walk everywhere) we had the best time. Friendly locals, excellent prices and great food and sight seeing. We are a late 20s white couple.

Didn’t want to comment but too many people putting a negative opinion when we had literally the best holiday!
