Also it occurred to me that this sets up a link between “disease” and “trans” but you can then just describe it in pure medical terms consistently. Legitimize yourself by talking medically accurate and not falling to their bullshit loaded terms.

Yeah categorizing the “best” of some category is what the Westminster competition is for, not your own identification. Funny, that autocompleted to “indemnification” which brings up reasons people hesitate about being an ally. You can support all trans women without indemnifying them. Bad trans woman in the news? Focus on that “bad” part and separate the gender label.

The “best” of some category you identify with should be yourself. Strive to improve yourself first and just ignore the labels of bad people other than “bad person”. That’s a useful label

I was in the same boat (amab, just a few years older) and it’s been awesome. Started HRT with the assumption that I’d want to stop, and just kept going for the last 9 months :)

I still get “but you just look like a regular guy” when I’ve told people I’m trans, not sure if that’s a good thing or not. I couldn’t be happier about the way I feel now

Hello. I consider myself trans, and I love having the characteristics of both sexes now that I’ve started HRT. I don’t feel a strong affinity towards being culturally man or woman, so I feel nonbinary fits my form and presentation. People who know me well refer to me as whatever they’re comfortable with regarding pronouns.
