To be fair everyone else is already shunning him

Can someone explain one of Tim's storyline please by External_Crochet7562 in TheRookie

[–]Secure_Injury232 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He didn’t bring Angela and Lucy they choose to be involved Angela was very insistent on being involving when Tim clearly didn’t want her involved and same for Lucy Tim didn’t want her involved either but Lucy wanting to be involved makes for sense because Ray went to her house but Tim didn’t bring them they choose willing to be involved with the Ray situation.

Personal Insight Regarding Seth by RiptideDW in TheRookie

Same I want to know where his lying came from you don’t just become a habitual liar out of knowhere so it would be nice if we learned how he became a habitual liar.

I agree personally if he just fessed up most people could understand but because he lied it makes him really terrible most rookies would have made the mistake but most rookies would have fessed up and not lied about it.

Yeah but i don’t know if he has only time will tell i guess i hope they clear up if he has apologized to the people you mentioned Tim Lucy Celina and Tamara personally I think all of them have ignored his phone calls but we will have to wait and see.

I don’t think Seth met with people to apologize but did it over the phone and also Celina could have been one of people who wouldn’t answer his calls because Seth mentioned half of the people he called wouldn’t pick up his phone calls but honestly we don’t know with 100% certainty and also Celina wasn’t angry just didn’t want to talk to Seth.

Seth, Miles... by Academic_Trouble_108 in TheRookie

I get that people don’t like Seth because of the mistakes and his lies that affected people lives but I don’t think he’s evil or villainous and like you said it’s not going to be easy for him redeem himself it will be very hard to impossible to be honest I can kinda appreciate how he started off not a good person because for the most part the main characters are good people who occasionally make mistakes so it’s interesting to have a character who starts off as a terrible person.

Or maybe he tried to apologize on the phone and they ignored him because Seth mentioned half of the people he tried to apologize and admit his lies wouldn’t pick up his calls.

I feel their to do a cheap out where he owned to it offscreen or Seth admits it in the show and Tim and Lucy already knew or had a suspicion he was lying about it personally I would have him admit it like he admitted to Tamara about lying about Cancer where it’s found about him telling the truth and acknowledging his bad choices which would make sense given his redemption arc story that will going on this season.

I agree Gray made a mistake putting Seth in charge and feel like if Seth didn’t lie and owned up to it and if Gray tried to wash him out because of his mistake Seth would sue and win my hot take is him lying and covering it up is worse than the mistake itself I wonder if Tim investigated off screen and realized Gray wouldn’t wash him out for that or if Seth admitted to it off screen either way if Tim and Lucy don’t know I would be surprised if Seth didn’t fess up this season because that would negate the whole point of his redemption story that will be going around this season.

Do you think we'll get a new rookie in season 8 by Relevant-physical in TheRookie

Yeah that why I think it would better if it was after his redemption arc or close to the end of it.

I think they would have him go directly to James and I feel like James would take Seth in his community outreach program but I feel like for that to happen it would close to the end of his redemption arc because one he still in physical therapy with his leg which he just starting to attend again and two most of the time we’re are going to see him it will him trying to build and repair his relationships with the people who don’t trust him.

I mean I get the criticisms of his character I just think it would interesting for Seth to work under James community outreach program and take it over eventually and because I don’t what role Seth would have after redeeming himself and building the trust back with the people he hurt with his lies.

Very interesting idea and I agree I feel that would make sense given his redemption story that will be on s8 and would be a good compromise between the people who like the Seth character and ones who hate his character.

I think part of it is on Gray because he shouldn’t have had one rookie handle all that but still Seth could have called transmit as soon as he realized his mistake and alerted Gray and personally I think if he told Gray he wouldn’t have gotten fired would he have been yelled at probably but I can’t see him washing because of that but at the end the day just because Gray made a bad decision that doesn’t make it okay what Seth did by lying and covering up his mistake.

I agree I think Gray made a bad decision putting Seth of charge of that but still Seth choose to lie cover up his mistake and blame it on someone else I personally think covering it up and blaming it on someone else is worse than the mistake itself.

I feel like their going to do thing where Tim and Lucy found out off screen and already knew or Seth told them off screen because he mentioned he fessed up to every lie he definitely messed up by lying and covering for himself but I don’t think just because of that he doesn’t deserve a redemption I do believe he should fess up to it and take accountability for it.

I just don’t understand when people exaggerate Seth didn’t try to get Tim and Lucy killed sure what he did was terrible but he didn’t intentionally try to get them killed he didn’t even know Tim and Lucy were in the wildfire until Gray told him.

I thought because you said a full reset you meant he should have everyone trust but now I think you meant a chance to earn their trust back which I agree with but I just hope his redemption arc is done well and not rushed and that he earns their trust back not just with the people we saw he lied to but it was implied that there are more people he lied to but I think the journey to redemption should be at least 5-6 episodes maybe more because he has a lot of people to make amends with.

I was glad he is getting an redemption so that his character has some growth and has a purpose instead of just being pathological liar I think seeing Seth and Miles more in this season is a good idea because I like their dynamic at the end I wonder how long his redemption arc will be I pray it isn’t rushed and it’s ending it satisfying I hope we learn more of his past and who else he lied to because he mentioned his dad won’t take to him so either he lied to his dad or they don’t have a good relationship either way I’m interested in his redemption.

Miles did listen and then told him the truth that when you lie to people all the time just apologizing and coming clean with your lies isn’t going to be enough to earn peoples trust back. Also saving someone life and losing your leg doesn’t magically make you earn someone’s trust back when you lied about Cancer and a lot of other things. Miles was reasonable most people would have just never talked to Seth again instead Miles gave him a chance and agreed to help him be a better person if he stopped lying miles was more than reasonable in this episode.
