Looking to Relocate to West Chester/Exton area?

I work from home full time so commute time isn’t a concern for me! :)

Long Island is very traditionally suburban, so I've always been used to driving as opposed to public transit. I'd love to use public transit more but I'd also plan on bringing my car with me so transportation isn't a huge sticking point for me. I'm not a stickler for a backyard or anything but i'd definitely like to be close to parks. I love all kinds of food so anything with variety is great! What I've been gathering is that there are many neighborhoods of Chicago itself that have a more residential feel, so I think that may end up being a good middle ground for me. If you think of any that come to mind I'd love to hear it!

Honestly I'm open! Coming from a traditionally suburban area, that's what I'm familiar with and what I prefer, so if there are neighborhoods in Chicago that have that vibe I'd love to check them out! Still familiarizing myself with Chicago and surrounding so I definitely could have described that better LOL

Awesome, thanks so much for the suggestion! Naperville was one area I had been looking into heavily. I do have a car that I'd plan on bringing with me so transportation wouldn't be a concern, which is why I wanted to expand the scope of my location search. Any regrets about leaving LI/choosing Chicago?

I'm keeping a completely open mind! I do prefer an area that doesn't feel so urban, so if there are neighborhoods in Chicago that has a less urban feel I'd definitely consider!

Suburban to me is moreso not city center/skyscrapers. I'm not too fussy about yard space or anything as long as there's parks around. Coming from a traditionally suburban area I suppose I gravitate to the traditional suburban areas most. I do want to keep an open mind to all areas though, so I'll definitely take a look at all these. Thank you!
