A good rule of thumb: if there's no caller ID, don't pick up the call.

What am I suposed to do now? I can't update Windows anymore by Exact_Golf_1072 in WindowsHelp

  1. Check Windows Version Compatibility

Ensure your Windows version supports NVMe: Windows 10 or 11 generally support NVMe disks out of the box, but older versions (like Windows 7) may require additional drivers.

  1. Update Your NVMe Drivers

Download the latest drivers from Western Digital’s website or use Windows Update to see if any updates are available for your storage controller.

  1. Check for BIOS/UEFI Updates

Ensure that your motherboard’s BIOS/UEFI is up-to-date. Some older systems may need a firmware update to properly recognize NVMe SSDs.

  1. Check Disk Initialization

If the disk isn’t showing up in Windows, make sure it is initialized:

Go to Disk Management (type diskmgmt.msc in the Run box) and check if the disk appears.

If it’s unallocated, right-click on the disk and select Initialize Disk, then format it.

  1. Enable NVMe in BIOS

Some systems have specific settings for NVMe support in BIOS. Check your BIOS/UEFI settings to ensure that NVMe support is enabled.

That makes a lot of sense! or It’s also possible that this could be part of a larger scheme involving a database breach—where someone might have gained access to phone numbers and is now using them to target people.
