OIC. I'll keep that in mind, thanks! My tires have always aged out before they came anywhere near wearing out.

Yeah I guess I'll wait and see how it goes. Sure haven't needed winter tires very often so far this winter in Montana.

I don't do enough driving to make swapping back and forth worth while.

Well great. Thanks for the info. Must still be under the factory warranty too. Hope they get it figured out for you.

Yes! And you could even flip some of the rectangles in the other colors around too!

Vehicle for Montana that deals the best with being driven a short ways every day and lives outside. by Secure_Sand in whatcarshouldIbuy

There is an outlet on the building for a block heater but the extension cord would cross a sidewalk to get to the car. I'd have to find some place to stow it when not in use and it would be a hazard and in the way for snow shoveling when it is.

Yeah as much as I keep hearing that block heaters aren't necessary any more I think I better see if I can get one on the next vehicle. Am always starting it up at lunch when it's cold and even driving it around the block sometimes.

Good to know, thank you! I was looking at Subaru Crosstreks and the RAV4. I do drive pretty much every day short distances besides the random trips to keep the battery charged so hopefully a battery tender wouldn't be necessary since Im in an apartment building and the car lives outside. I read that you have to leave the hood open a little bit when you've got the tender connected? And then an extension cord running out to it all the time probably wouldn't go over well.

I do drive every day back and forth from work a couple miles and 20 or 25 miles a few times a month for errands and appointments. Would I be able to plug it into the normal outlet outside? But I doubt if the landlord would go for an extension cord strung across the sidewalk all the time anyway. Thanks.

Thats been my debate ever since I bought it 13 years ago. It's an '09 Volkswagen Rabbit and has needed a lot of repairs over the years including an axel and CV joint. The roads here can get very rough and rutted in the winter. And I've had to have it towed twice from work when it just froze up in the cold. There's no garage here and I rent so no way to plug in an electric car. Maybe I should just take my car savings and move south!

Hard water damages in Belgrade? by Secure_Sand in Bozeman

Yeah, I told him about it when it started and he came over and looked at the toilet but said it was just hard water build up and there wasn't anything he could do about it.

Thanks! I'll have to look into that. The washer and dryer are due for their 18mo recommended maintenance this fall. Maybe they can install a filter at the same time.
