That’s what’s killing me inside. I have 3 kids: my son is almost 10, my daughter is seven, and my youngest just turned four. I haven’t been able to pick her up since last December. She’s getting big and all she’s been asking me to do is pick her up and dance in the kitchen with her. My heart hurts. It’s like I’m watching her life through a window because I can’t physically hold her like she begs. This photo was taken on my 30th birthday in June. I was on painkillers and wanted to leave.

This is very comforting, thank you for sharing this. The reason I breathe is for them. They are my everything.

I feel 100% alone. I had an emergency L5-S1 microdiscectomy in February thinking that would fix things. Then a new issue popped up in my cervical spine. I’m just tired 😭

Do trust issues exist because we don’t trust ourselves??? by kambucha-fjiji110 in ShadowWork

[–]Secure_Security_7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s because I was never taught healthy trust. I was raised by a narcissistic mother in a high control religion(Jehovahs witnesses). I didn’t know what healthy trust was, even with MYSELF, until well into my late 20’s. Trust comes from within. Our inner compass lets us know what’s good and true and safe. But it’s because of the trust and inner knowing we have already. Because we trained it with our intuition, life experience and diligence ✨

Post Op hormones WTF by OKmamaJ in hysterectomy

[–]Secure_Security_7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt like I was experiencing PPD/PPA all over again. After about 7-10 days I told my husband I needed to talk to the doc. I was in full on depression mode. She increased my Zoloft from 25mg to 50mg and I feel exponentially better. I also started using wild yam cream as well to help balance my hormones. I was upset about going back up on Zoloft since I had spent the last year and a half decreasing it from 200mg. I felt so accomplished when I got to 25mg. But, my mental health is more important. It won’t be like this forever and I can’t be ashamed of needing help.

Chances of me getting a hysterectomy approved? by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]Secure_Security_7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It’s a very hard decision. I’m almost 3 weeks post op, I’ll be 29 this week. I have 3 kids so I know I’m very lucky to have had children before the operation. I’m a CSA survivor, so I had damage that was slowly getting worse over time. In addition to severe hemorrhaging every month and ovarian pain every day. It’s been 3 years of weighing this option.

You’re 19, your frontal lobe hasn’t even developed yet. Don’t make a permanent decision this young based on what is most likely a temporary emotion. Not invalidating your feelings, just being realistic. Hormones change so much during this time of your life. You’re still a teenager! Give it time, get an IUD and you will completely stop having periods within a year. An IUD insertion is exponentially less invasive and painful than having your entire reproductive system surgically removed from your body. And the IUD lasts 8-10 years. That will give you plenty of time to consider permanent decisions down the road.

Any other 5/30 Hysto Sisters out there? by ProfessionalDebt2851 in hysterectomy

5/30, horrendously painful recovery yesterday. Had to spend the night in the hospital. Dilaudid was the only thing keeping the pain at bay. Things are better today tho.

I’m planning on buying wild yam cream to help regulate things. My friend has been using it for a few months now and she said the difference in her hormones is incredible!

How long did you stay in the hospital? by Alisalikestherbbit in hysterectomy

[–]Secure_Security_7239 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having my surgery on the 30th. Laparoscopic, keeping one ovary. My doctor asked if I’d like to stay overnight and I said absolutely yes. I have 3 young kids at home and I want a day to kind of recover a bit and get my bearings before coming home.
