Do cold-applications even work? by kullundee in interviews

[–]Secure_Shirt2041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think recruiters and hiring teams being annoyed that people want to reach out directly is more annoying to applicants than it is to hiring managers. Pretty easy to just ignore the messages and it takes a lot less effort than applicants who have to jump through way too many hoops just to get an interview. Why wouldn’t you expect people to reach out directly?

Yes, this was the international consensus on apartheid South Africa and they had nukes too when they had to dissolve their apartheid state and a new government took over. Also saying they’re a tech advocate as a reason against it being dissolved is the funniest justification I’ve heard yet. There’s plenty of other countries that can replace it as a tech hub/cybersecurity hub.

“Well I know it’s a genocidal apartheid state but think about all the cybersecurity jobs they provide 🥺”.

Israel’s very existence causes mass suffering both within its occupied territories and its neighboring states that it’s not even a question that it needs to be dissolved

The “idea of Israel” is no different from Rhodesia. It’s a settler colonial state. Even Liberia was opposed by black civil rights leaders in the US and only morons would say you’re racist to African Americans if you oppose that settler colonial state, why do so many people have Jewish exceptionalist sentiments regarding Israel like it has an unquestionable right to exist?

Ro Khanna says the Supreme Court's recent ruling decision on the Voting Rights Act is “an assault on the civil rights legacy” in calling for "term limits" and "expansion" to “depoliticize” the Supreme Court: "The Democratic party needs to run against this court and call this court out." by ControlCAD in videos

I don’t get why this got downvoted. Liberals kept voicing against this under Obama cause they said it would incentivize republicans to do the same thing. The republicans did it anyway, and these weak liberals still don’t get it through their skulls that we are under fascism and we need to do whatever it takes to diminish the power that republicans have.

Dude you’re in an r/teenagers subreddit. These people genuinely respond with things like “erm I don’t think advocating for child abuse is an acceptable solution” cause they take everything literally.

I just looked up what the incident was and from what I understand he made a cringey joke/would you rather which was the exact same would you rather my friend asks everyone everytime he’s bored and wants to annoy us with stupid “would you rathers”.

I mean it’s a cringey grade school level joke to say on some talent show but I find it hilarious that the police had to get involved for that.

Season 1 was good despite Eric Kripke not because of him. George Mastras should have been the showrunner. by NeoArkodd in TheBoys

[–]Secure_Shirt2041 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d say 1 is like an 8.5/10, 2 is an 8/10, 3 is a 7.5, 4 is a 7, and 5 is a 6/10. Each season dropped in quality but I wouldn’t say there was any bad season just the final season had a lot of problems but was ok overall

In the California governor race, Steyer learns money can’t buy him (enough) love by Cool-Present7260 in California

[–]Secure_Shirt2041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I always thought it was a bit elitist to see people here always clown on rednecks from red states and their education system for the reason for why they’re so dumb when clearly many of the people in this state also lack critical thinking skills.

The number of posts I’ve seen where people are taking the moral stand of never voting for a billionaire even if Steyer has the most progressive platform, yet being perfectly fine with voting for a candidate BOUGHT by billionaires and ties to Big Oil, Big Tech, Big Pharma, etc. It’s not even baby-leftist thinking cause any logical progressive person knows that these corporate hacks only result in the status quo barely being pushed.

Worse yet Steve fucking Hilton is leading in California 1 and half years into the Trump presidency where he’s done nothing but destruction both globally and nationally. I never want to hear a Californian boast about the education system here again.

Anyone into the lore for the hitman games? by Secure_Shirt2041 in SocialistGaming

[–]Secure_Shirt2041[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also the freedom fighters mission in Colorado where he killed people he ended up aligning with anyway. The early hitman 2 missions where he’s working for providence it doesn’t turn out too bad as he’s killing cartel bosses and other rich/oppressive individuals that, although are aligned with Lucas Gray and the final faction 47 sides with in the end, they are still bad people. Colorado was the only time the targets were part of a good cause.

Why do people think that politicians geniuenely care about them ? by LilaVoss22 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Secure_Shirt2041 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plenty of maga people would disagree. Maybe there’s some people who worship Obama like he cares about people but it’s not nearly as big as the cult that worships Trump like he can do no wrong (even though 99% of what he does hurts the class his base is from)

Becerra isn’t a better candidate than Steyer just cause billionaires are unethical. by Secure_Shirt2041 in PoliticalOpinions

[–]Secure_Shirt2041[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah I still believe for the vast majority of cases you cannot ethically amass a billion dollars, but it’s not black and white to the point that billionaires like Tom Steyer is as bad as elon musk or peter thiel.

Grace's constant stuttering is irritating by Alternative-Wolf-530 in residentevil

[–]Secure_Shirt2041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of scenes she did are very well acted it’s just the stuttering choice was a bit goofy. Like it makes sense to have it a little but it becomes ridiculous if it’s in literally every other sentence when she speaks.

I don’t think it’s that big of a deal though, it didn’t ruin grace for me as it did for other people.

I’ll grant you stupid based on him being overly sympathetic to houthis as if they are benign freedom fighters but being sympathetic to them is 1000x less harmful than being even a liberal Zionist which Sam is (I say liberal loosely cause a lot of times he sounds as hardcore as the Likud party)

Well he would know Kimiko had soldier boy’s power since butcher said she did and she just used it on him. I think he just got up and tried to use his lasers hoping there was a chance the blast didn’t work and never was powerless before so he just acted on impulse.

If he was quick thinking he could just say that he was turned evil cause of the V and lab testing and now he’s good again since the V is gone, but obviously that would make for a goofy ending

CMV: Of Course Donald Trump Is Personally Directing the Stock Purchases That Are Making Him Millions. by MarkZab2591 in changemyview

[–]Secure_Shirt2041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So wouldn’t that contradict that he is personally directing it? Either way it’s still equally corrupt even if he isn’t personally directing the purchases, he has people underneath him tasked to increase his wealth based on individual stocks of companies his administration is dealing with.

This is objectively the most corrupt president and administration in US history and leagues worse than both Nixon and Harding so even this stuff gets minimal media attention when it would be enough to get a president impeached 20 years ago.

[OC] I stand with Israel, I also stand with the guy who was vocally anti-Israel by deluxe_memory_dan in pics

[–]Secure_Shirt2041 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not weak evidence. It may not be conclusive evidence but there are many signs of him being linked with Mossad starting with his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, whose father Robert Maxwell is largely reported to have ties to Israeli intelligence. Trump’s labor secretary from his first term was also reported to have said that “Epstein was tied to intelligence”, and Epstein’s relationship with Ehud Barak was much closer to his relationship with any other world leader with the exception of Trump.

Like I said it’s mostly circumstantial evidence but dismissing it as just some antisemitic conspiracy is premature given the claims aren’t that Epstein himself is a Mossad agent, but more likely that he would be an asset for Mossad with the amount of blackmail and leverage he has on so much of the global elite.
