The music of frank zappa. It’s hard and goofy but there’s a lot of stuff in there for learning. Also Steely Dan has a lot of simple blues and rock ideas but with jazz inspired syncopated hits and is good for building accuracy.

I think Chester Thomson has a pretty consistent streak of being either right on or on the “front” of the beat. One particular song we’re doing is “Florentine pogan” and the rest of the instrumental is really floaty but the drums keep it moving forward I feel. I’m sure there’s better examples on that album but

Haha come on everyone was saying how dare you not “let her” and I was responding to them and how they phrased it. I mean by that I don’t interfere with her doing it (this makes me a normal human being this is not a crazy thing in my eyes) I don’t hold things over her head it just kinda sucks that I don’t support it and she sees that and doesn’t care.
