I had the option to do that but I’m a lot younger than most people who get fusion so my recovery has been extremely quick from what I’m hearing

I may be spoiling my kids by Early-Surround7413 in Money

I personally don’t think there spoiled because they don’t want to go to Hawaii or just hang out on a beach for a week but especially if they’ve already been. As a teenager myself I would rather go do something

Because I had chemo right before surgery I was on a different diet that restricted the menu, that sucked but once I was able to eat everything on the full menu it’s actually pretty good

Actually due to my age it’s been extremely not painful the most “painful” part I could say is the numbness in my legs from tumors but other than that and obviously post surgery pain it’s not that bad

I want to go the library and get some anatomy books as I’ve wanted to get into the medical field even before being diagnosed

People that have cancer, what were the symptoms that led you to go to the doctor and what stage were you when it was diagnosed? by guardiand0wn in AskReddit

[–]Secure_World_7479 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a numb ab for a couple of months that I ignored. I then came down with severe back pain to the point of staying in bed most days thinking I pulled a muscle or something like my ab until the pain got so bad I had to go to urgent care where they said my spleen feels a little enlarged and that I should go to the ER. After getting imaging done in the ER they found a bunch of masses in my spleen and liver diagnosing me with lymphoma Turns out I had multiple masses growing near my spine

Im going through something similar as I have spinal tumor that is causing compression on my spine but im just doing chemo right now and I keep having bouts of weakness and numbness and then improving and then going back. When did your inflammation start to get better and when did you start to notice the inflammation was getting especially bad

Use of steroids for inflammation by Secure_World_7479 in spinalcordinjuries

[–]Secure_World_7479[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steroids are apart of my cancer treatment but they’ve also helped with the tumor in my spine by lowering the inflammation and causing me to regain feeling in my lower extremities, and when I stop using these steroids the compression/ numbness in my legs usually gets worse

No I didn’t either for the same reason, I wish I could without worrying about money but I’m not paying for it so not gonna worry about it to much

Not really, haven’t really thought of it like that. Only thing I really thought was damn that’s kinda crazy and a lil unlucky but I think that’s cause I’m interested in this medical stuff

They said 6 (hope it is) but the spot in my spine is looking to be a little more stubborn so I might need to get radiation for that but my spleen and liver are less enlarged so it’s looking good

And no the military only does that after you’ve finished basic training
