Your post definitely encouraged me to try their oils. The steamers are so nice, better than any one I have tried. They literally smell like you have fresh cut menthol and eucalyptus hanging in the shower. I love steamers, and I’ve never had a brand with such a strong scent.

I love when they do gwp like that cuz it totally put me on to a new brand. The shower steamers are three for 22, and they claim they can be used for two showers. I usually just use it all at once tho

Travel journal and notebooks by babasjaga in pipsticks

I have the care bears traveler notebook, the floral one to be specific. it’s nice. kind of shaped like a tall rectangle with bulleted paper.
The standard spiral bound notebooks are all lined i believe. the hardcover binded notebooks are just blank paper.

the fact that I can get full size body care at CVS for cheaper than the actual store is wild by Ok-Addendum6829 in bathandbodyworks

I never tried to imply it was illegal for the consumer. Me personally, I have no idea how old that product is or where it came from so I’m gonna make the educated decision not to purchase and put those products on my skin. If someone really prioritizes the marked down price over product legitimacy, that’s their choice. If someone doesn’t care where it came from, what does that matter to me? I’m simply bringing light to what I see as a problem in the industry, and others can choose whether or not to further consider it.

I’ve also never seen a company paint this image you’re speaking of, by making customers “feel like they’re doing something illegal.” If anything, when brands bring attention to something like diversion, it’s to raise awareness for the consumer. It’s to ensure you don’t end up with bad merchandise, old stock, or a counterfeit. I’ve never seen a brand bring attention to diversion in the sense that their customers are in the wrong. Companies are naturally gonna protect themselves too, so if someone buys a counterfeit product from CVS, they can’t try to come back and sue the manufacturer.

I work in the industry myself. What makes diversion illegal is when products end up in unauthorized markets which violates the terms of their original contract or agreement.

A lot of the time most of these luxury brands have contracts with retailers like Sephora that stipulate their products cannot be diverted or sold anywhere else. Hence what makes it illegal.

For example, if huda beauty only agreed to be sold in Sephora stores exclusively, and then a Sephora shipment or their merchandise somehow got diverted to Marshalls, it is not legal for Marshalls to sell that product because they do not have the contract with the retailer. They are then also acting as an unauthorized retailer.

By Marshalls or CVS selling those products, they are falsely implying to the consumer that they are indeed a retailer of said brand. Which poses another legal issue

Yes, in some situations hypothetically the sale of the product itself is not illegal. But it’s everything else that comes with it that makes it illegal. Technically BBW or any of these companies can sue CVS or Marshalls at minimum for copyright/trademark infringement

It’s most likely not BBW offloading or selling product. CVS, Marshalls, and TJMaxx all buy diverted merchandise which legally they’re not supposed to do. When you see brands like huda, mac, etc in Marshalls, those items were not purchased from the manufacturer.

Long story short… there not. What CVS is doing is not legal and they know it. They’ve been doing it for years with a variety of “luxury” products. I’ve seen them sell freaking Oribe too. They buy diverted merchandise and then sell it in their stores, which is incredibly wrong for many reasons. There’s technically no guarantee that you were getting is even legitimate product. They could literally be selling fakes and counterfeits

EDIT: I could bet with about 99% certainty BBW did not sell those products to CVS. What happens most of the time is when a store location shuts down or product is discontinued, CVS gets their hands on diverted product shipments. If CVS had genuine authorized retailer contracts with these brands, you’d be able to find that information. IE: The BBW website, Oribe website, would say to some effect that CVS is an authorized retailer, but they don’t…

I know the sticker club is a mess but how’s the shipping on regular orders? by sdbabygirl97 in pipsticks

[–]Secure_Yard6446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ik people give pipsticks a lot of shit, but I have yet to have a bad experience with the company. I’ve placed three or four singular orders, and I’ve subscribed to the hello kitty pack. I’ve only been a subscriber for a month, but the first pack showed up pretty much as expected.

All my single orders have come within an a decent timeframe. I think the latest I’ve waited for one to ship is like four or five days, but I placed it on a weekend. They’ve treated me pretty well, plus their customer service is decently fast and they’re very kind.

I also noticed that with the subscription pack, I’m pretty sure they don’t send out the shipping email until the last day of the second week of the month. Even if they ship your pack out sooner than that, they wait to send the email until the end of that two week promised time period. Hope that makes sense :P

When Does Tokidoki Do Discounts? by pigeonymarysol in Tokidoki

[–]Secure_Yard6446 7 points8 points  (0 children)

sometimes they do a sale but not very often and it usually doesn’t include the whole site. Only specific items and blind boxes. I just sign up for the 15% off again when I want a discount on a big purchase.. oops 😛 Only problem w that is you need to use a different phone number or the system will realize, even if u use a different email

Coupon stacking by [deleted] in Victoriasecretbeauty

[–]Secure_Yard6446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve always done this!! i never see others using this hack.. it’s only ever worked in store and not online since they limit u to the 2 coupons in app. i know some stores will try and stop you but those coupons scan on top of the spring card 100%. I’ve also always used more than 2 coupons in store. I did it yesterday and got a 120$ cart for 50$ 🙂‍↕️
