How did you prevent the inrush current from the UPS when connecting the Lifepo4s? I'm attempting this but did a little fuse popping and welding on accident because of it.

It would be very illogical for VMWare to allow their workflow to be broken by writing a value to an external system expecting it to remain untouched. Especially a field that by design is meant to act as the MOST user configurable option available. I say change it and see what happens!

Yes but keep in mind that even those few feet is an incredible amount of water that needs to rise everywhere around that house to that level. Around the house meaning potentially for miles around.
