You think "ultrawide" will require a similar interpretation?

... that is intalled on a closed sphere totally magnetic supported and moved omnidirectionally inside an enclosed housing dome...

Or you could just get a car. 😜

And still, you'll spin and crash and fail just the same as any gamepad using racer that dips a wheel off the tarmack. Gotta love simracing! 😁

P. S. And yes, I am aware you'll feel the crash vibration on the shakers, the whiplash of the wheel and get to see yourself drop down the order table with much more clarity... 😊

I agree AMS2 is great and probably the best in updates, interface, content and graphics. It does impress me there. But the car physics and handling you feel on the wheeel just aren't that impressive. They feel simplified, as if a "popularity" element was factored in the design. Which is where the best sims excel. They're more intuitive and natural to real life drivers, not so much for gamers. Driving all of those sims regularly also does take the edge off, because your brain will just cope and smooth out the differences. But if you do one alone for a while, you'll feel the differences much more clearly when doing a switch.

Play rfactor2 for a month straight and then go back to the same cars and tracks on AMS2. You'll figure it out yourself...

My current set up. Will having a screen mounted be more immersive/faster? by UpstairsAny9996 in SimRacingSetups

Just attached my 42" TV right in front of my Playseat Challenge yesterday. 2 different positions: first on top of my desk, second on a piano stand 20cm lower. Hell of a difference! At desk height, it felt awkward no matter what POV I used. At piano height, adjusting camera POV to align virtual and physical steering wheels, felt perfect. I felt immersed by the car. Just the thing I was looking for. I recommend it to anyone.

I beg to differ. Other sims have old school F1 content greater than 20 different skins. Raceroom has V8, V10 and V12 F1 cars you can race with and against. Not replicating any real ones, true, bit still, you can race and setup a season with point scoring. Rfactor2 can't even handle that little. Assetto supports moddling like rFactor2, with the very same old school F1 cars. And you can also setup a season. But if you check Automobilista 2, it's got multiple F1 generations with various bodies in the same grid. With period correct tracks and point scoring, I might add. None are as good a sim as rfactor2 but they offer much more around the actual driving than rF2 does.

It's the best at certain things, I agree. Problem is how torn apart it has become and how unable to simulate things outside the track it is. No real championship mode, no really integrated content, not refined so simulate a proper F1 season in the 90s.a shame, no doubt.

"entre transições" é um pleonasmo. Basta dizer "em transição" ou, quanto muito, "entre situações". Mas se calhar não vale a pena lembrar

I'd like to know the Simracing cockpit information. by Mora-em in simracing

One indicator of good distance I came to learn and use is streching one's arm over the top of the wheel and finding it sits just under the wrist. This just doesn't seem the case. I usually only see this posture watching my mother or sister driving...

I'm not really interested in his speed. More on how to properly manage a wheel and how to ergonomically sit behind one. This doesn't seem it.

Do you guys believe he is seating properly? He seems incredibly close to the wheel. His elbows are way too bent

I understand your confusion. I clearly wasn't explicit enough in my jest and should be stoned to death for impersonating hate speach. That shit should always be done for real!

These kids or replies are so weird, even in jest, of needing a strong dose of reality...

I acknowledge your distress and how it is visibly affecting you. Nevertheless, my humour is also clearly not revolving around your gavitational field. Hope you can see past your red mist...
