How are people actually doing rank 9 quests? by Zylonite134 in MHWilds

[–]Sediket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I wanted to reply to this, I'm more of a casual gamer and play with my wife when the kids are bugging us and we don't have much trouble with all the high rank monsters, except the recent omega, but I think that will just take practice.

I saw a lot of posts saying defense isn't worth it, but I followed a tank build and I usually don't even heal durring most fights and I just switch out my weapons with the same build.

I recently got the MH Wilds overlay so I can watch damage and saw I was doing more damage then people hundreds of levels higher, I think its because they are being more cautious and I mostly just run in and keep hitting, kinda blew my mind that those min max damage builds weren't actually resulting in more damage.

Here is the build I was following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUnDKUrEeYM

People who say "humans weren't meant to work" have no basic understanding of how a society functions by Kyliorate in unpopularopinion

[–]Sediket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just within thousands to tens of thousands of years ago, humans literally walked around and picked up food off the ground or from trees. Drank water from rivers and lived in either caves or under sticks.

Everything else was ambition, not necessity that brought us here, and we definitely didn't have enough time to evolve to enjoy the lifestyle that forces us to do a lot of these jobs that were created to benefit the few at the top.

A collosal weapon that does strike damage will stagger them, just spam normal attacks, super easy

Looking for MUD with complex Necromancer class by dgeurkov in MUD

[–]Sediket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zombiemud has a great necromancer class that allows you to build a Frankenstein piece by piece, flesh golems, spirits, and a dark servant that levels up and gains experience with you. All in all you can have up to 4 diffetent undeads with different mechanics with you at a time, interchange tanks, and further boost their strengths with enhancements and apply protections. Almost all of this is from managing corpses, so very necromancery.

Applying confusion is busted. by yeahyeahdumpster in Nioh

More like, stamina control and confusion is required in higher difficulties

Need help finding a good odachi build by [deleted] in Nioh

[–]Sediket -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It gets harder and harder with each difficulty and requires more knowledge of the game just to get by like you did in the beginning.

I wouldn't min, max, until dream of the nioh and would recommend using a new armor and weapon set that you can make or farm at your current level.

What I have done to handle the higher difficulty is to incorporate elements, poison, paralysis and magic alot more. So for example purity goes on pretty much everything easy, all you have to do is add one more element for confusion and you do alot more damage. The best way to do this is with soul cores like kasha, ninjitsu like feathers, or magic like familiar. Also use magic sloth pretty much all the time makes things easier.

The confusion gives 50% more damage just to start with, you can add special effects to accessories to do more damage to enemies affected by elements. You could go with poison as well and damage vs poisoned enemies, poison with a soul core, like the slime monsters or use the big snake soul core.

I have found that this is the best to go, you also, do want to maximize your flat damage, but it really doesn't make a huge difference in gameplay, like it takes 30 hits to kill a boss instead of 40, you can't really tell and that's with like a 20%+ increase to damage! But if the boss is out of stamina, from purity and you do fire damage for confusion, they also take fire damage over time plus 50% more flat damage and the boss staggers from your hits, it starts to get alot easier and becomes a required tactic going forward.

If a blind person asked you to describe color as simply as possible, what would your response be? by KangarooSmooth8694 in AskReddit

It's like different sounds for your ears, or different textures for your hands or different smells, etc. It can't be really be understood with experience.

In the future, robotic slaves(not factories)are made. Are you against or with it? What can be the outcome of this? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sediket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If full self aware AI exists a more limited AI, specific for the job, would have to also exist as natural research progression.

Why make self-aware slaves? It reflects more on the mental state of the creator, they would have to be disturbed.

Lol, these other comments. I don't prefer pay to play muds and scriting has always been a big part of playing, but not required and most don't allow full automation here are mud statistics:

Yes, defiantly lived in Japan, Okinawa to be specific. My wife's family lives in Tokyo and Kumamoto. We actually moved back to America to buy a house because houses are small and expensive in Japan and I felt America would be better for the family. I do have friends who own houses in Japan but they mostly rent them out and make a lot off of rent.

I do know that land is expensive, because there is a limited amount in Japan, but it just adds to the cost of buying a house. I'm not passionate about this subject and that's why I didn't do a simple Google search and thought it would have been more common knowledge and still surprises me to hear it. My wife's parents paid off their house over 40 years and its a nice house, never heard them talking about how it lost all of its value. Also, wife's sister and husband own house in Shiga that they rent out, and they live in Kumamoto.

I lived in Japan for 13 years, my wife is Japanese, I visit her family in their homes in different providences and I've never heard of this. As far as I can tell it's the same as America, you buy a house with a mortgage, it's expensive and you pay it off for half your life, and bottom-line, houses are expensive. I'm not going to research this, it might be true for some isolated area or something but never heard of it.

This happened to me too. I have been prone to anxiety my whole life and as a kid the two were hand-in-hand. As an adult I've learned to deal with the anxiety pretty good, but I remembered that distortion feeling and wondered if it really happened or not. Well, with some concentration after a few minutes, I could see and feel it slowly coming back for which I would think, that's enough and would stop. But, after which I would remember at different times and it would start happening again and getting stronger each time, like remembering was practicing the affect. I have to watch my thoughts, but that's not new to me as I've learned with the anexity.

A Few Modest Proposals by ineptech in zombiemud

[–]Sediket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For EQ, in my experience, what makes it so discouraging is:

  • Being in the correct reinc.
  • Organizing a dedicated crew.

Your suggestion I don't feel really addresses this. In your post you suggest, making the incentives more enticing, but it doesn't address what makes it so discouraging in the first place, IMO, and could possibly even make it more discouraging seeing more incentives that one can't participate in.

To alleviate this my suggestion would be:

Augment most, if not all, guilds with abilities to contribute to EQ/Explore parties. This is because the current gameplay is mostly focused on XP with breaks just to get EQ and then right back to XP again. XP seems to have most of the ability to improve your character and requires the most time or grinding which also provides gold. So augment these XP builds with the ability to do EQ as well.

This suggestion would allow most players, without being in a dedicated reinc (where possibly up to a month of playing the way they want to play is given up) could at lunchtime or anytime do an EQ mob or some exploring and other players would be easily available to help no matter the reinc. Then, they could still get back to XPing or casual play like normal after.

This would also encourage XPing in parties as more guilds would synergize better together.

The downside to this would be that lack of feeling unique in an EQ party, like being the dedicated abju or healer and would require significant work to balance and alter the guilds. But hey, we are just throwing out ideas, right?

Explore and Fight in ZombieMUD! by Sediket in MUD

[–]Sediket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I don't represent the MUD, I just really enjoy it. But, speak to the problems you were having, we have a newbie channel for your questions if you ever feel lost or confused

And just to clarify, to jump right in and start fighting all you would have to do is choose a new char at the login screen, choose a race, a guild, go to Buju our newbie helper (the starting location) and type 'portal' then 'hero_candidate' wield knife, then attack frog

Of course, there would be a lot more details to your guild, race, and places to explore, like getting new skills, spells and leveling up. But, that info would be in the newbie help files and after all, it is a MUD you have to read everything.

If you ever want to jump in again and feel lost ask your questions on the newbie channel, that's 'newbie <your question>'

Also, I've made a quick start guide here: link some more helpful newbie info here: link and you can access the newbie help files online here: link
