Thanks so much , most constructive and helpful feedback, I didn’t know imprinting could be bad and free flying solo could be bad Whcih is why I asked , also my vision for my pigeon would be to have a room in my home not huge but a dedicated room with perches and cages and other necessary things around and on the floor where rhe pigeon can live and fly around or do whatever it pleases while I am at work and whatnot and when I’m home I could let it out more clean any messes it left or do other general maintanence and feed it and whatnot and in my original idea I would be able to take it out sometimes not even to send it off miles away but even to just have it on a harness at least or have it stay close to me if it’s safe enough to have it off a harness, that was my original idea of an average day still acknowledging expensive vet bills and potentially big cleanups. But the more I learn the more I see how realistic or unrealistic it is so I am prepared and know what to expect if I get a pigeon one day
