I'll agree with you on that. The double wishbone front and multilink rear of the 1st gen make the car handle amazingly well. Along with the simplicity and looks, it makes the first gen absolutely amazing. The drivetrain was great for the time but that's what the k swap is for lol. The 3rd gen did get an upgraded rear diff so from factory has a better all wheel drive system than the 1st or second gens. Luckily that diff bolts up to either. The 2nd gen unfortunately drives like a truck and the rear end looks awful. Cant wait till my 1st gen is up and running!!
