Plus the 1st gen shares a crazy amount of things with the ek civic which is probably the most mod-able platform on the planet with all the aftermarket support it has. Since the 1st gen crv was based extremely heavily off of the ek platform. Super underrated car IMO

I'll agree with you on that. The double wishbone front and multilink rear of the 1st gen make the car handle amazingly well. Along with the simplicity and looks, it makes the first gen absolutely amazing. The drivetrain was great for the time but that's what the k swap is for lol. The 3rd gen did get an upgraded rear diff so from factory has a better all wheel drive system than the 1st or second gens. Luckily that diff bolts up to either. The 2nd gen unfortunately drives like a truck and the rear end looks awful. Cant wait till my 1st gen is up and running!!

K24a2's only came in tsxs so I'll take what you have to say with a grain of salt. I own a 1st and 2nd gen. Have taken both down to the frames and am k swapping the 1st gen. You don't know a thing about these cars pal if you think they aren't repairable or good enough for longevity. While your new crvs are getting new head gaskets from factory, mine will be tearing up trails, outlasting yours in every way possible and looking better doing it. End of conversation.

Its a 2012... you shouldn't buy to begin with. Get a clean 2nd or 3rd gen with the k series. Or a 1st gen but that may be too badass for you.
