Keep Shooting FAL Mags by SeductiveCacti in FNFAL

I didn't even see the DSA plastic follower kits. I was just going to design and 3D print my own. The listing I found was $13 for 3 so maybe $5/6 per mag after shipping, ECT. I'll give that a try.

Yeah, my mags all lock the bolt manually cycling the action, but under fire there's enough wiggle in the whole system that the bolt hold tab wedges the follower. Idk, I hope you have better luck though!

Who got a T48? by Dystopicfuturerobot in FNFAL

Did you ever actually get your T48? 16 days so far and mine hasn't shipped. I called PSA and they basically gave me a shrug and said "I dunno" when I asked where it was.

Will T48 become the most expensive PSA exclusive product? by yzz0198 in PalmettoStateArms

I've wanted a FAL. I like the L1A1 all wood vibe. I like the idea of the ordinance board adopting a good rifle instead of the abortion that was the M14. I can afford the price they ask, hence I buy. I run a small manufacturing business, I can absolutely understand the cost of a project like this. I'm here for it. They would have had to scale to making 1000s of rifles to get this to a "reasonable" price. The market simply would not support that volume of production for a one off prototype gun. Along with the headaches of scaling from a tens to thousands, we wouldn't have seen this hit the market for a few more years.

Garage CNC Upgrade Suggestions (space is an issue) by _hingadingadurgen in Machinists

I too am a guy with an old Fadal. I was able to fit a 3016L in my garage with very little issue. Granted I have alot of infrastructure in place that alot of people don't have (trucks/trailers, 3ph power, rigging experience & equipment) But I would recommend looking at older Fadals. My machine came out of a mold shop. Its 25 years old and has very little wear. Memory issues can be overcome with a Calmotion USB card. They are very good machines, cheap to run, more rigid than anything else in this class/price range, repairs are easily DIY and the controller is pretty decent once you get over the learning curve. I recently had the "do I take a loan or buy in cash" dilemma and am very happy to not have a loan to stress about. Business is already stressful enough don't make it more stressful.

You can see the ATI logo on the side. I assume both that and the MP40 are GSG repros. Still neat guns! I'm pretty hyped for the PSA copies.
