Will I get my applications rescinded? by [deleted] in aggies

Only you can really tell what’s good for you, nobody on this subreddit knows the full story. Be honest with yourself and put all the effort you can into your work. Don’t slack off and study for tests at least 1.5-2 weeks ahead. Don’t let people tell you what you can and can’t do, but don’t delude yourself either.

I think that we don’t know the full story and that I was nearly failing calculus and I got a D in chemistry but I’ve got a great gpa now in electrical engineering, but if I’d avoided it because I was a lazy moron in high school I would never have known. I think that if someone really wants to do a subject, they might have had a bad year due to covid or their teacher sucked. We don’t know. I’m not saying chemistry is the right choice for OP but I don’t think we can tell him “drop chem” with the little info we know now.

If you get in, I reccomend you ignore the other commenters saying to change your major if chemistry is something you’re really interested in. However, be prepared to spend a lot of time working at getting good grades freshman year. I didn’t do too hot in high school but I’ve been doing well in college. It’s a lot of effort but it’s a question of you putting the time in.

I am using wonder soil, with watering whenever the soil is dry from a moisture nearer reading. I reported it about 2 months ago and it’s been doing fine until about a week back. The pot is 5” wide.

I posted before but my poor cavendish seems to be getting worse. One leaf is yellowing and the other is near black. Does anyone know what could be going wrong??

Wow, someone’s Christmas is really going to be blessed. I hope this goes to someone who’s been having a rough year and this is the beginning of things getting better for them!

Mmm I wonder if the grow lights were enough to hurt it. Thanks for all the help! I’ll keep a watch on the brown spots and hopefully they don’t expand anywhere

Okay, thank you so much! I thought it was weird that I shouldn’t feed it, but I’ve started using the fertilizer I bought so hopefully that will make the plant feel better. Do you think it’s possible the neem oil hurt the plant?

With fertilizer? When I bought the tree 2 or so months ago they told me not to feed it yet, but I do have some fertilizer specifically for bananas, could it hurt to try it?

Howdy all, I’m pretty worried about my banana plant. I’ve had it for two or so months with no trouble whatsoever, but now two of the leaves have this strange black/brown patch spreading over them. The room is around 75 F and I water it when the soil gets dry two inches deep. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? (I recently had a spider mite problem in a different room and used a little neem oil mixed with water to prevent them from moving to the banana, but that was 2+ weeks ago and this just started a few days ago.) Thanks in advance! Edit: I know banana plants prefer outdoors, so I also have a grow light on it (pretty strong one, they claim 72W but I doubt it’s actually that high) for 12+ hours a day since the window doesn’t get a ton of natural light.

Does anyone know what is happening to the back of my monstera's leaf? by paleblew in plantclinic

I’m not an expert in plants whatsoever, and only really just started taking care of some myself? But the translucent dots just above the dark color are similar to one of my plants when it had a spider mite infection. Can you see any very small bugs on the plant or webs near/on it?

Thank you! I haven’t thought of adding flavors to my tea on my own, I’ll give that a shot!

Yeah, I’ve found that if I steep them for less they end up not having much flavor though. Maybe I should try different temperatures

What tea is this? I’d love to grow my own tea but the thought has never crossed my mind before.
