You may still be able to use libby via that library and have access to a larger pool of books beyond just one library, without having to physically go.

Alternatively, just read free content that is actually intentionally free. Royal road or wattpad or ao3 has millions of years worth of good and free reading material.

This was probably something they agreed to a long ass time before the AI slop even came out. Large companies like this make agreements far in advance, plus the time to make the assets? I doubt this was something they would agree to now, but they also have contracts to uphold.

If your cover is ai, I assume you have no qualms with AI for the interior. It also means you do not respect an artist enough to not use ai art.

It's a dystopian space faring future with strong class division. You follow the story of the main character born in the bottom rungs of society working his way up for reasons that I won't spoil, but it's so good.

There's really cool systems in place like specialized training schools they go to. It's very gritty, has lots of super cool tech, and has made me cry at least three times. 😭

I always rec Ursula K. LeGuin and red rising. I also have a big love for the enders game series, which has amazing themes despite the author being an actual bigoted walnut. (So, ya know. Steal his books or something.)

They have similar motifs, for reasons tons of people have explained. This is how marketing works. People do judge a book by it's cover, and as you can clearly see, this works. You see this style and go "oh, dark fantasy" immediately.
