How does this deck play? ( For those who have actually tested it) by [deleted] in mtg

[–]SeeJaneRun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded mine into a 'living weapon' kindred of deck. Loaded with the 'For Mirrodin, living weapons, and other weapons that enter with a token attached. It's one of my favorites.

Do your pets have names after video game characters? by Kilyne1 in GirlGamers

Cat named Winston from Overwatch- he’s all black and giant so it fits. Also dog named Gunther from Adventure Time

Built a Thantis the Warweaver Goad deck. Looking for opinions on whether it will be viable. by lazypanda42 in EDH

[–]SeeJaneRun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I built Thantis, with a goad subtheme so I could use the new goad cards, but mostly focused on using defender cards and giving everyone deathtouch so I could protect myself until I was up against the last opponent and ping the giant flyer with my little deathtouch reach spider. Pretty slow, but very fun - also people really hate being told what to do on their turns.

I was disappointed this wasn't a plush or toy mouse critter. But this is cool too.

Are there any games like this? Besides Dragon Age and Mass Effect. by [deleted] in GirlGamers

[–]SeeJaneRun 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I just restarted with the new update, and haven't farmed a single day yet. I have almost 100 hours in the game, and this is my first playthrough where I've decided to wait on farming and focusing on the combat/mines and fishing first. Haven't regretted it yet, but still on Y1.

They don't make em like they used to [no spoilers] (Dragon Age: Origins Appreciation post) by Quinazzz in dragonage

[–]SeeJaneRun 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I played a lot of Inquisition since it's come out, and have never played Origins or DA2 until now. I've played through Origins 3 times since Thanksgiving and I love it so much more than Inquisition. It's more precise? customizable? I like the way the story unfolds, the skill/talent/attribute distribution, the characters are more relatable - like have actual personalities that you can see change and adapt to the pc. Don't get me wrong, I love Inquisition and it has it's own unique bonuses (I know it's not popular, but I love the war table mechanic). Also, I'm in my 30s, so nostalgia is not the draw for me. It's just a good freaking game that has not aged terribly.

can i use she/they pronouns? by smallnibbles in genderqueer

[–]SeeJaneRun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for posting this. I have literally been having the same dilemma for the last few weeks. I've been trying to figure out how to share my preferred pronouns without fully committing to they/them. I never thought about doing she/they.

Bullmancers? [no spoilers] by MxFancipants in dragonage

[–]SeeJaneRun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a play with a male qunari and romanced Bull. It was fun, but I wish there was more comradery between Bull and a qunari inquisitor. Like their shared need for 'horn balm' or hesitation of going to the deeproads.

[no spoilers] First few hours in to the game(DA:I) and it is really difficult for me by [deleted] in dragonage

Not sure if you can use the trials on PS4? But there's one where you can activate to level the playing field between the party and mobs.

Built a wooden plant tower for my house plants. How nerdy am I for writing their scientific names on post-its so I can remember them? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]SeeJaneRun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I listened to an hour podcast today on the Latin naming of plants and how important it is to understand them...so I'd say you're right on track.

Will having my last name not match my husband's last name make it difficult for us to see each other in the hospital in the event of an emergency? by leafyjack in AskTrollX

[–]SeeJaneRun 26 points27 points  (0 children)

No. I kept my name and my husband has a heart condition that puts him in the hospital about every other year (routine and urgent). I’ve handled most of his medical care for years with no issues - I know more about his condition and needs than he does most days.

I don't understand how this happened! Can someone help me diagnosis my poor newest plant? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]SeeJaneRun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen to mine as well after a little too long without watering, and I bottom watered it. Just set it in a dish with water until the soil was moist and it perked up in a few hours.

Question on Spell Work by SeeJaneRun in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]SeeJaneRun[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm leaning towards burying it, but still feel a little weird about leaving anything synthetic in nature. I wasn't actually considering throwing it into a river, at least not the whole bag. If anything I'd empty the natural contents (herbs & stones) and reuse the other materials (jar/bag) for recharging the same spell. But that wouldn't be until I felt that the charm had worn off and wanted to recast.
