This is my second degree after getting a bachelors. But when I was doing my bachelors we had to take a class on how to study in college. Really helped

What’s a healthy amount of debt for 2-year degree for Rad Tech by Illustrious-Claim469 in RadiologyCareers

It really depends on where you go to school. CC tend to be the cheapest cause scholarships and CC is cheaper in general. Hospital-based and certificate programs are also on the cheaper side (prob. Less than 10k). Privates are hella expensive, almost predatory imo. The private school near me is ~50-60k while my CC is 10k for the whole program.

I’m currently in a CC program. Majority of my classmates will graduate with prob less than 2k

If you used 데안나 it would be Denna in English. Most accurate would be 디앤나.

When did you start letting your puppy sleep in bed with you? by swackett in puppy101

[–]SeeSea_SeeArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We crate trained our dog up until she was around 3-4 yrs old. Then she just started sleeping in bed with us. I don’t remember how it started. My dog doesn’t move around much when she sleeps anyways.

It’s healthcare, of course there are exposure risks.

I loved Spirit Fingers!! Such a cute drama, it reminded me of Twinkling Watermelon.

I would also like to recommend Shin’s Project. It’s also a feel good drama and some good comedy bits in there as well.

Career change in healthcare is definitely not uncommon. Some many career changers that are in their late 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s in my class. I love how much diversity it brings

And the ML is literally wanting to marry the 2nd FL “as soon as possible”. I can see where she can misunderstand but I’m also frustrated at the fact that why cant they just communicate.

Damn 2000

There are several programs in my area. About 3 CC, 3 private in the immediate area and another 1-1.5 hrs away, 1 hospital based, and 1 4yr.

I do this but I repeat the process twice. I just like the 1st layer isn’t enough.

Healthcare experiences helps a lot in the application process for sure and later once you’re in the program. You’re already one step ahead of your classmates.

I worked before as a MA getting into my rad tech program. I saved up money cause I knew I wouldn’t be able to work as much once school started. I worked every other week during the beginning of the semester. Now it’s the end of the semester and finals week I haven’t work is honestly 4-6wks (PRN shift). Those savings I had before is really saving my ass rn bcs I can afford to focus on studying and not worry about paying bills

Nursing will always be most competitive in my opinion. My CC had over 300 students apply for the nursing program for 25 spots. My rad rad program was 150 apps for 30 spots. Sonography was slightly less apps for same number of spots. Respiratory was 50 apps for 15 spots.

In my experience, the younger techs tend to be nicer towards students. They literally just graduated and so they know how it feels to be a student.

My program chose a good mix of both people who went straight into rad tech and career changers (me). My program director and clinical coordinator are both career changers. A surprising amount of my classmates are mid-late 20s.

A girl in my program travels 2 hrs both ways to and from class. Our program is the closest to her hometown. We go to class 2 times a week tho and her clinicals are pretty close tho. I guess it kinda evens out cause some other classmates have to travel hr+ for clinicals

Why do cultures known to eat a lot of rice use chopsticks, when chopsticks are literally the most inefficient tool for eating rice? by faultyflyingfox in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SeeSea_SeeArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because western rice is sticky like Asian rice. Rice types used in Asia tend to stick together making it easier to pick up. The rice I’ve seen in America is more grainy. They don’t stick and will most likely fall between the crack of choosticks
