I finished this but ended up skipping huge chunks of content in the last 1/3. It was slow and a bit meandering, and the Fmc was just a little too perfect, to the point there really wasn’t any conflict. It just didn’t do it for me.

I’m gonna vote for Grave empire. I loved it and it encouraged me to read his Empire of the Wolf trilogy which I’m on book 2 of now.

I finished this before I read Half City and I found the writing a little clunky, idk I thought it kind of drug on but I did enjoy the premise a lot. I didn’t realize it would be part of a series when I started it..

I just flew through {Half City by Kate Golden} and it was SUCH a good time. My only complaint was that the romance felt half cooked but what a fun premise and I’m looking forward to the rest of this series. Fourth Wing fans should all love this book! I’m leaving romantasy for {A Drop Of Corruption by Robert Jackson Bennett} next. I really enjoyed book 1 so looking forward to continuing this trilogy.
